You will feel at home the moment you walk in. We are conveniently located just 300 yards from A1A and the ocean. Turn right and Daytona Beach is 25 minutes away. Hello! Most of the time I am in Philadelphia working with children in the school district and Charles is a teacher. When we cannot be there, we are excited to share our home with others. We love to hear about your good time! There is a lockbox with the key as you enter the breezeway which works on all the doors. About the neighbourhood
Our area is not crowded. It is an 'Old Florida' feel-laid back, lots of open area with many areas designated as state lands. The house is approximately 1.5 hours from Disney World and other Orlando attractions. Daytona Beach and the famous Speedway is a 15-20 minute drive, St. Augustine and New Smyrna Beach are both about 40 minutes drive (in opposite directions!). You can walk to the Lagerhead Restaurant at the top of the road for nightly music, happy hour, lunch, dinner and weekend breakfasts.
The new Tanger shopping mall is opened in Daytona Beach right off of I-95.
I can provide you with a list of activities, restaurants, etc, depending on your own interests.
There is a very well stocked Dollar General 3 miles south of us on A1A.
Getting around
A car is recommended for longer trips. The Publix grocery store and mall are 4 miles south, an easy trip by bike or walking if you are so inclined. Also, there is a bus operated by Votran that picks up on A1A not far from the house and takes you south along that same road to restaurants, attractions and shopping. The fare is 1.75 per person each way.

How to get there
Airport: Daytona Beach Intl. (DAB): 26.0 km
Railway: Deland Train Station (DLD): 74.0 km
Jetblue offers a direct flight into DAB from JFK. Orlando International Airport (MCO) is 150KM or 93 miles away. I find the cheapest airfares can be found here and many flights fly directly into MCO. The drive to our home is easy and the roads are great although sometimes trafficky during regular rush hours.
St. Augustine airport, UST, has a flight from Philly during certain times of the year and it is a pleasure using it. That airport is 77KM or 48 miles from our house.
