Overview
Condo/Apartment -
2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 4
Rookhope, Durham, England
The Terrace Cottage is a charming stone built 2 bedroom cottage with original features and a really cosy feel set in a terrace of C19 mining dwellings; available to book via Sykes. As the owners, we use the cottage regularly and our objective has been to make it as comfortable as possible so have made sure the furnishings and linens are to a standard we would expect!!

Set in the village of Rookhope in upper Weardale, you are in the heart of the Pennines, which gives amazing walking, cycling and touring opportunities. There are plenty of places to visit nearby and within a few minutes drive, from Hadrian's Wall to Beamish Museum, Raby Castle and High Force! Corbridge, Alston and Hexam are all in easy reach and Durham City and Newcastle are less than an hour away.

The cottage is fully equipped, with quality linen, bedding and towels...

I booked for three nights stay and loved every minute of it. Small but cosy, just what we needed. The owners were nice enough to leave us milk, jam and a nice card to welcome us to our stay. Only one set back was we were only left one nights worth of wood for the big fire and had to...

Excellent well appointed small cottage. Very thoughtful owners who provided everything required including toiletries . A supply of chutney and lime curd were an added bonus. Need to be aware that cottage is up an unadopted road and at the end of a narrow lane. Enjoyed stay lots of beautiful scenery .

Management response:
