Really chuffed to have found this hidden gem located in Langdale, but still in walking distance to Ambleside. The place was nicely kept and has just unbelievable views from the lounge. Thumbs up to the owners for having a full size ping pong table, we...More

We thought this place was just perfect for us. We have quite a big family, and finding somewhere for all 8 of us is always a challenge. But this place was just the ticket, plenty of space for everyone, which is really important for us....More

Great place for a family who loves the outdoors. Lots of little walks can be done from the doorstep, and the place was homey and was well kitted out for big families.

Cafes: Chesters on the River is an award winning café opposite Greenbank House. Ambleside has a plentiful supply of idyllic cafes. Pubs: Talbot Bar within 100m is outstanding for its food and well-recognised for its choice of ales. Drunken Duck (2km) is an upmarket gastro pub set in rural surroundings. Wainwright Inn (2km) is a pleasant stroll away and serves delicious Cumbrian traditional meals. Walks and Towns: Langdale Valley is possibly the most popular hiking area in the Lake District. Also close to Coniston, Keswick and Grasmere.
Getting around
All day to day amenities accessible by foot within 1-2km. Most necessities accessible within 500m. Regular bus services operate throughout the National Park. Plenty of parking on site, would accommodate up to 5 cars, or even a minivan.
