Interaction with guests
We operate at arms length and it is unlikely that you will see or interact with anyone responsible for the property unless you have an issue. In that case our housekeeper or maintenance man are only a stones-throw away. You will collect the keys upon arrival from a key-safe and so return them upon your departure, so arrival and departure times are wholly to your schedule within our predetermined access window of 3pm on day of arrive and 11am on the day your unfortunately have to leave.

We stayed at Blelhem Tarn for a long weekend, it was wonderful. A perfect retreat for me, my partner, my parents and Basil the dog. The log cabin had everything we needed, was clean and we felt right at home straightaway! We were lucky with the weather and were happy to spend the morning sitting outside soaking up the lovely...

We stayed here for the Easter Weekend and the cabin is absolutely amazing . There is everything you could possibly need and it's lovely and cosy inside. The views are brilliant and we were lucky enough to see a couple of red squirrels. It's in a great location for exploring but remote enough that it feels like a proper getaway....

Management response:

Bather load increases significantly during school holidays. Children often leave the pool and return without washing their feet which increases the particle levels in the water. In a large body of water this isn't always noticeable but in a small pool it has an effect which is fortunately only cosmetic.

About the neighbourhood
England. Cumbria. The Lake District. South Lakeland. Located part way between Windermere and Coniston at the head of the Langdale Valley in a secluded, mature, woodland park of individually owned lodges. This is not a commercial development and guests will be staying in the owners' own private holiday home. This tranquil setting means that complete peace and quiet can be assured. You will be close to faun, flora and plenty of wildlife, our visitors record numerous sightings of both Deer and Badgers, many of them only feet from the window This is a special place.
Getting around
By definition The Lake District National Park is enjoyed by walkers and those who enjoy the tranquility of the hills and the water. Motorised public transport takes second position here and as such getting around isn't particularly easy and in order to take best advantage of the wonderful scenery you should think about (a) having access to private transport and (b) getting away from it as soon as you can - this is a magical place best enjoyed on foot.
