Beautiful property - perfect for large groups
Perfect property for a hen party! Immaculately decorated with everything you need for a lovely weekend away! The outside space is also beautiful. We all loved our stay here!

Superb well appointed family and dog friendly house
Incredibly beautiful thatched house with TWO hot tubs! We had the most amazing family gathering there - three generations. Loads of space for everyone with rooms for kids to play their video games and others to read and chat. Very well equipped kitchen with lots pots / pans and glasses . Lovely secure garden for all the dogs and kids to run around in. It was immaculately clean and warm with comfortable beds and lots of towels and hot water! Superb venue for holidays and we also indulged in hiring private catering which was a boon! There were places and pubs to visit but once we arrived we didn’t feel the need to move anywhere! I would highly recommend it as a superb house to hire for any holiday or event

Thank you very much for your reviews and we hope to see all 3 generations again in the future. The 2 hot tubs are a real feature and the garden is so nice in the summer, you might have to book to come back and see all the flower beds in full bloom.
We hope to see you again in the future at either this property or one of our other houses.

Simply amazing - THANK YOU!!
We stayed here with two extended family groups as an alternative to being able to being travel abroad in the summer of 2020. We all agreed the house is amazing and on arrival it quickly becomes clear that pretty much everything you need for your stay has probably already been provided. The gardens are beautiful as is the surrounding countryside and walk up to the local pub. Hot tubs were a super addition and actually kept us cool on some particularly hot summer days. The only downsides we'd observe were the flies and wasps (but then we were in the heart of the Somerset countryside) and to be fair fly spray was provided!!! Thoroughly recommended

Perfect break!
Just returned home from a long weekend here. Lovely house. Child friendly. Hot hot tubs! Huge gardens all secured. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked. Ample space for a huge party of friends or family. We had a great time!!

Stunning Farm House
Higher Burrow Farm is amazing. This is the 8 year we have booked with Woodlands Retreats and have never been disappointed with any property. Higher Burrow Farm didn't disappoint and exceeded our expectations. The character of the property was amazing, the gardens stunning and the 2 hot tubs was the icing on the cake. We have already booked again next year. I would also recommend the Burrow Hill Cider tour, what an amazing experience. Lots of lovely walks directly from the property. Looking forward to our stay next year.

Amazing Hen House!
We stayed at Higher Burrow for a hen weekend. The pictures are wonderful but the house in the flesh is absolutely stunning and huge! Plenty of space for 17 adults. Everything has been thought of and it has been finished to the highest standard. It was immaculate and the kitchen had every mod-con you could wish for. We loved the hot tubs and stunning outside space as well as the two lounges. We had a private chef cook for us one evening who appreciated all of the kitchen's space and large double hob.
We walked to the local pub (Lamb & Lion) who were lovely to deal with and very accommodating. We walked to the Cider Distillery which is an absolute must if staying here - you will roll home!
This is the second Woodlands Retreats property I have stayed in and I can't recommend them enough.

PEREFECT WEEKEND
We had such a fantastic weekend catching up with friends and family. The house and grounds were beautiful and fit for purpose. The hot tubs were great fun and we felt thoroughly relaxed. The late check out was appreciated too! Thank you so much!

Breathtaking!
Three families stayed together at this barnhouse for New Years Break. It is amazing and exactly how it was advertised if not better. All the children ranging from 13 to 26 loved being here as we took on quad biking, clay pigeon shooting, cider distillery tour and the walk up Burrow Hill itself with amazing views of Somerset. Quaint pubs nearby with lovely food and very welcoming. The property is very clean and spacious with up to date TVs and music, games, hot tubs and beautiful gardens, our dogs loved it too x definitely recommend but will need a car as a bit of a hike anywhere outside village.

Beautifull Stay!
Such a wonderful house and garden! Lot's of space, very clean and charming.Practical also.
The area is also very nice.We visited the cider fabric. and Martock is a beautiful village.
The children enjoyed a lot the hot tub, and the big space to play football.
We really liked our stay !

Amazing Weekend holidays
We have booked this house last minute. Everything was excellent - house much better than on pictures, very friendly management, welcome drinks and cake, everything new. Really recommend.
