Paradise!
Very comfortable, beautiful grounds and rooms. Great shower! Jason, our host was very accomodating and recommended places for dinner. Comfortable bed, peaceful and quiet. I would recommend this place and hope to come back sometime.

Hacienda muy Tranquilo
Our stay was so enjoyable that we ended up canceling our plans to travel further south and ended up staying at the Hacienda de las Palmas for six days rather than two.
The team at the Hacienda, Jason, Patricia and the ever-smiling Oscar, Patricia’s eldest son, couldn’t have been more friendly or accommodating. They helped us navigate around La Ribera and through the surrounding area.
The breakfasts were lovely. Lingering around the shaded communal table was a great way to start the day. An afternoon read and/or snooze in the hammock is not to be missed.
Staying at the Hacienda made us feel as we were having a glimpse into the Mexico (Baja) of yesteryear.
We are already looking forward to our return to La Ribera and the Hacienda.

Beautiful place with beautiful people!
Hacienda de las Palmas was so beautiful. We booked a room last minute and Jason was happy to meet us at the gate (even though we arrived later in the night). The layout of the place is amazing and our room was such a steal for its price- better than any hotel room! We were so happy to stay the night and chat with the owners the next day over a complimentary breakfast. Absolutely recommend this little haven in La Ribera!

We loved everything about Hacienda de Palmas! Jason and Patti were outstanding hosts and made sure we had everything we needed for a great visit to the East Cape. We will definately be back and look forward to a meal cooked at the new outdoor kitchen!

Hometown friendly in the heart of La Ribera, easy access to everything
Neat place with nice people. The property is gorgeous with a center courtyard and and a new hot tub (was being installed while I was there, next time!). Clean rooms/towels/sheets, appreciated the fridge too. BTW: Thanks for setting up the ATV rental. Riding along those beaches below your place is an exceptional experience...didn't see a person for miles, spectacular! See you this fall as I'm definitely coming back...

Friendly and comfortable place
Family feel, friendly and quiet place, room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed conversations with host, had a beautiful walk on the beach.

An exceptional experience!
This was our second 2-week stay (the first was in 2017) and once again we found it very relaxing and exceptionally enjoyable. Very welcoming and great hospitality from the owners Jason and Patty, with simple but very clean accommodation. If you are looking for a "home base" from which to explore the East Cape (and beyond) this is the place for you! And La Ribera itself offers a wonderful, deserted beach and several very good dining options.

Beautiful, clean and peaceful oasis with kind and generous hosts.
Hacienda de Palmas was everything we'd hoped for and more. We stayed here, in room #1 for 3 days, to get to Cabo Pulmo for snorkelling and to explore the area. Patti and Jason accommodated us, as well as a few family members who stayed overnight, and provided them with extra towels and a lovely continental breakfast. Breakfast was taken each morning either in the large kitchen or in the beautiful garden courtyard, over conversation with our hosts and/or other guests.
The room itself was very clean (and huge) and the beds and pillows were really comfortable. Our bathroom was also very large and super clean, and well separated from the main area which made sharing the room with another couple 'a little less embarrassing'! We also had a mini fridge, which is really good when you're somewhere for more than a night. We had access right outside our door, to a beautiful covered patio where we watched the sunrise each morning.
The town itself is lovely, located on the Sea of Cortez with several really good restaurants. Dinner at Efren's one night (their mushroom risotto is killer!) and lunch at a new eatery right in town called AMS (I think that's the name-look for their signs). Fantastic papas rellenas and stuffed poblano peppers!
We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Jason and Patti for a really relaxing and pleasant stay. We'll be back, perhaps to check out your 'holiday house' once it's back up and running!

Great place to stay!
We stayed at the Hacienda for 2 weeks while renovating our house in the area. We felt very comfortable and at home. The breakfast was very good. Coffee ready early which we appreciated. Patty and Jason were great hosts! It was nice to sit outside in the morning and listen to the birds singing.
Doesn't get better than this! Subsequently, we have been back for a visit! We will be back.

Wonderful and welcoming!
I truly enjoyed our time at the Hacienda! Patti, Jason and Obed treated us like family and cared very much about our comfort. Had great food and adventures along with our much needed relaxation time. We ventured to Santa Rita hot springs, rode 4-wheelers to Los Barriles and loved the small town of La Ribera. Can't wait until our next visit!

La Ribera is a very quiet, sleepy Mexican town with the majority of roads being dirt/sand but with amazing views of the Sea of Cortez.
La Ribera is approximately 45 - 60 minute drive from San Jose del Cabo airport.

How to get there
From the San Jose Airport, Its a 45 minute to one hour drive to the Hacienda de Palmas. From the San Jose del Cabo airport head north on Highway 1 toward La Paz. After a half hour of driving there is a Pemex gas station on the left, at the turn off to Mira Flores. This is about the halfway mark to the Hacienda. Continue driving north past the next turn-off to Santiago. Soon you will come to some large speed bumps before the Las Cuevas bridge, and the turn-off to La Ribera. This turn is also at KM marker 93. After taking the right turn to La Ribera, continue driving for a few miles through the town of Santa Cruz and then 3 or 4 miles more to the town of La Ribera. We are at cross street of 16 de September and 20 de November.
