A house from the 16th century in a small village with lots of history . Nestled in a valley, surrounded by cliffs, with lots of walks through the countryside and vineyards. The house is situated close by the 16th century church and the 15th century medieval halls both in a small square where there is a cafe to sit and sample the wine of the region. Just across the road from the house there is a small supermarket bakers and butchers all just a minutes walk away. Within the house there is a antique shop, where you can spend time browsing the objects from France and England. The ambiance of the house is welcoming and although the house is ancient in its years, the apartment is very comfortable with all modern appliances but keeping the historic features at the same time. It offers a comfortable lounge area with english tv, a fully fitted kitchen with all equipment to create your own cuisine, a shower room with toilet and washbasin, all linens and towells supplied. A very spacious bedroom with king sized bed with fresh linens and a romantic feeling, furnished with antiques. Nolay is a village with a certain charm, lots of visitors that have stayed here have dreamed of owning a home of their own, some have , and some just visit on a regular basis. The hospitality of the French people is very agreeable, and offer a warm welcome to the many visitors. There is an exceptional restuarant just two doors away where the cuisine is superb and the chef and his wife are charming and give a friendly smile to all. Nolay is situated in the south of the Coted'or just 20 minutes from Beaune with its historic hospice situated within the ramparts, chic boutiques, and great wine houses where you can reserve a wine tasting. Also on the limits of Saone et Loire, 25 minutes to Autun, a town with lots of Roman ruins, also a school for the military. Seeped in history over the decades. Chalon sur Saone with the river running through its centre, choice of shops, restaurants, cafes and lots of different events throughout the year. Dijon the capital of the Dukes of Burgundy. with museums, monuments, cathedrals ect, ect. A region with a great choice of Chateaux and ancient abbeys. A good place to visit.More
