Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, use of owners' washing machine on request, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi. Electricity and wood for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Lockable bike storage. Private patio with garden furniture. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pubs with restaurant 3 miles. Note: Dogs must be kept under strict control due to cattle/sheep on owners' land. Region: A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was 'the quietest place under the sun' and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England. Town: Set in the Shropshire Hills and adjacent to the Long Mynd, the village of Picklescott is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This little town is at the halfway point of a circular walk along country lanes, whilst the surrounding area is full of bridleways which make for excellent walking and cycling opportunities. Visitors can enjoy the stunning views from the Devil's Chair at nearby Stiperstones Nature Reserve, or take a trip to the picturesque market town of Church Stretton - boasting half-timbered buildings - just a six mile drive away. The medieval towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow are also close by and boast impressive castles, excellent shops, restaurants and scenic, riverside walks. The World Heritage Site of Ironbridge, the amazing Roman ruins at Wroxeter and Stokesay Castle are all within easy driving distance.More
