Cottage
Cosy, comfortable cottages in the heart of Wiltshire. Well situated to visit not only Wiltshire but parts of Somerset, Gloucestershire & Bristol. Each Byre is slightly different but they all sleep 4 people. Recently modernised former cowsheds! Byre 1 has dishwasher and washing machine. There is one double bedroom but the small lounge becomes a double bedroom using a comfortable sofa bed . The bedroom has a large wardrobe and chest of drawers. The lounge and the living room have televisions and there is wifi access. The kitchen is well equipped and has a good sized dining area. In the bathroom there is a large shower and airing cupboard. The price for one night is £90 but this drops to £80 per night for two or more nights....Cosy, comfortable cottages in the heart of Wiltshire. Lovely well equipped cottage. So quiet in countryside .welcomed by the owner who had made a sponge cake that was excellent. The pub down the road serves excellent food only 600 yards away. So relaxing place to stay.

About the neighbourhood
There are lots of film sites nearby where Harry Potter , Pride and Prejudice, Poldark , Downton Abbey and many others have been filmed. The National Trust village of Lacock is close where the first photograph was taken from the Abbey. The village has several good pubs and a small variety of shops. Avebury is an excellent place to visit the huge stone circle with Silbury Hill and Kennet Long Barrow nearby too. En route you would pass Cherhill White horse which involves a bracing walk onto the Chalk Downs. This is one of eight White Horses cut into the Wiltshire Chalk downs.
Getting around
A car is vital to access all local tourist sites and all towns and villages. A walk to Bromham is feasible as long as you bring stout footwear. There you will find a village store,a butcher’s and an excellent village pub serving good food and drink.
