A cosy traditional cottage dating back to 1870 in the small hamlet of Fir Tree, Crook. Although almost 200 years old, it has been renovated to a high standard to provide a spacious living area with modern conveniences, without loosing its character and charm. Situated on the A68 in a quiet rural village in the heart of the North East, making it a fantastic base and easy access to all the attractions the North East has to offer. No. 10 comfortably sleeps 4 guests. An additional pull out camping bed that can be placed in the double bedroom to make room for a 5th guest can be provided on request. There is free off street parking to the front of the cottage and secure off street parking to the rear. No. 10 has fast free Wifi. The ground floor has a spacious sitting area with a 40” Smart TV with access to YouTube, Netflix and a selection of family games, maps and visitor attraction information. The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, microwave, slow cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine and dining table. The table and chairs can be stored alway to create more space when not in use. The kitchen leads to a spacious, private outside dining area which is real sun trap. Stairs in the kitchen lead to two bedrooms, one double with a king size bed, hairdryer and 32” Smart TV with access to Netflix and YouTube and one with two full size single beds and 24” Smart TV with access to Netflix, YouTube and DVD player. The bathroom has a large double shower. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, towels, and toilet roll are all provided.More

Super cosy little cottage, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was extremely clean & tidy when we got there and Kimberely could not have been nicer or more helpful. I would definitely recommend to stay here! :)

The A68 Cafe serves breakfast and meals daily and is located 3.8 miles away on the A68. In the neighbouring towns of Crook 3.1 miles away and Bishop Auckland 5.3 miles away you will find various super markets which include, Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrison’s and M&S food takeaways and bars/restaurants.
Getting around
No. 10 makes a great location for exploring what the North East of England has to offer, it is a central base to visit Durham and Newcastle City, Northumberland and the East Coast, Durham Dales, North Yorkshire and many other historic surrounding areas A car is recommended due to the property being in a rural location
