Sherwood Pines Visitors Centre, which incorporates Go Ape and which hosts various activities and events throughout the year including open air concerts, is just a 25 minute walk through the forest. The Visitors Centre also offers cycle hire & Forest Segway. Meanwhile, Sherwood Forest Visitors Centre, home to the Major Oak, is just a 15 minute drive from the lodge. For those seeking relaxation and pampering, there are several day spa’s within easy access of the lodge including Thoresby and Eden Hall. Alternatively, guests can relax and enjoy their surroundings in the lodges’ very own private hot-tub. Inside, the log beams create a unique and tranquil atmosphere whilst the underfloor heating and log burner will ensure guests stay cozy and warm in the coldest of winters. A complimentary bag of logs is provided but further bags can be purchased for £4 per bag (cost price). The lodge has 3 bedrooms with an en-suite attached to the master. There are televisions in the living area and in all 3 bedrooms, all with Freesat and DVD players (Blu-ray player in the living area). Two of the bedrooms have the option of being arranged as either twins or doubles (Superking size) whilst the master bedroom features a Kingsize log bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen which incorporates a built in oven and hob, an eye-level microwave, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer and dishwasher. The main bathroom has a bath with shower above and there is an additional shower in the en-suite. A travel cot & high chair are available on request at no extra charge. Outside there is ample private parking for 3 cars, a 6 person hot-tub and a covered seating area. The lodge is dog friendly (max 3 unless by prior agreement) but dogs do incur additional fees of £11 per dog per night. This is to cover the additional cleaning costs (not damage caused by dogs). This is required by bank transfer directly to the host prior to arrival. We do provide a protective throw for the settee as a precaution however, we respectfully request that guests do not allow their dogs on the settee or in any of the bedrooms and particularly not on the beds. Kid Friendly: Yes
I respectfully ask that dogs are not allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms. I also ask guests to respect the peaceful surroundings & the fact the lodge has neighbouring properties, particularly when enjoying the outside space. Please don't drain or add water from/to the hot tub as this can cause damage & will also affect the chemical levels, potentially rendering the water unsafe. If any issues arise with the hot tub, please contact me rather than trying to rectify any issue yourselves.
