Upper Largo is dominated by Largo Law, the highest hill in the region and the cottage benefits from great views of Largo Law from its fully enclosed rear garden. Access to the path up Largo Law is yards away from the front door for those who have the stamina to climb to the top in order to take in the great views of East Fife, the Firth of Forth and the Lothians.

Many walks radiate from the village and the beach at Lower Largo (Robinson Crusoe's birthplace) is a 20 minute walk away via a number of local footpaths which also afford access to the Fife Coastal Path.
The local area is noted for its wide sandy beaches interspersed by rocky headlands, the depth of its history, ranging from Falkland Palace, a favorite of Mary Queen of Scots, to the Secret Bunker which highlights the part played by Fife during the cold war and the breadth of its culinary and produce offerings with Michelin starred restaurants complemented by award winning fish and chip shops as well as numerous farm shops and farmers markets showcasing the best produce Fife and Scotland has to offer.

Aultnagar is well equipped, clean and nicely furnished cottage. Lovely extra touches,
flowers and an excellent, unexpected welcome basket all added to our holiday. Dog towels, pooh bags and a safe enclosed garden were great for our dog too. Thank you!
The cottage is in a great location for exploring Fife but also within walking distance of the local hotel and Lower Largo too. We had lovely weather during our stay, so made good use of the summerhouse and garden furniture.
A great cottage for a stay in the East Neuk.

Excellent
Aultnagar is an ideal family, dog friendly cottage. Not only is it equipped with all the amenities you could hope for but the enclosed garden, and outdoor seating areas are perfect, peaceful spaces to relax. The summer house is a great addition which adds to Aulnagar's charm. It is situated in a quiet location with lovely walks all around. There is a hotel, small shop etc all within easy walking distance. It is an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding countryside.

Lovely Stay
We have just came home from our stay at Aultnagar.
The cottage was perfect for our stay and was equipped with everything we needed down to some doggy towels for when our dog got a bit wet in the rain!
The garden is lovely and has a furnished summer house which would be lovely on the summer to sit out in. We didn’t use the garden as much as we would of liked due to the weather not being great, the garden is also enclosed ideal for bringing dogs.
This is our second stay in one of Simon and Becca’s cottages and we will happily book with them again next time we are coming up to visit family.
We definitely recommend booking with them for this property or any of the others they have based on the 2 we have stayed in.
