Many different walks and cycle routes emanate from the village of Upper Largo and the village is situated just off the Fife Coastal Path. In light of the ongoing Covid 19 Pandemic we have been working hard with trade and tourism bodies to create a brand new cleaning and disinfecting protocol which we will implement between each guest. We are now accreditded Good to Go by Visit Scotland. This extra cleaning and disinfecting has changed a few things as follows:- To allow for the extra time required to properly prepare the property we have changed our arrival and departure times, arrival will not be after 17.00 with departure now requested to be before 09.30 on day of departure. We have removed a number of decorative items from the property as well as books, DVD's and games, to replace guides and local information we have created an online house book, details will be e mailed prior to your arrival. We will also only be making up beds to the number of people in the party. Further details will be e mailed to you prior to your arrival.y in the East Neuk is memorable for all the right reasons. Should you have any questions about the cottage or the locality please do not hesitate to contact us. Please note we are only able to take bookings starting on a Saturday for 7, 14 or 21 nights. *Pets are free of charge. More

About the neighbourhood
Upper Largo is a stones throw from Largo Bay and the beach at Lower Largo and there are a number of walks that take you down from the village to the beach. For those wanting more of a walking challenge the volcanic plug of Largo Law rises up steeply behind the village and is an excellent challenge for those wanting to test themselves (please check the noticeboard at the foot of the Law for dog access as it varies by season). The village of Upper Largo has an excellent pub/restaurant which is a very short walk from Kirkside Cottage, the Crusoe Hotel and the Railway Inn are a longer walk or a short drive away in Lower Largo. The Railway is a great traditional dog friendly pub fantastic for a drink after a long walk, however it does not serve food, the Crusoe Bar and the Upper Largo Bar se...
Getting around
The village of Upper Largo is conveniently located on a number of convenient bus routes. The bus stop is on the main street opposite and by the hairdressers shop. Why not walk the coastal path to Elie and catch the 95 bus back to Upper Largo, or take the X60 to St Andrews or Leven and on to Edinburgh. The nearest railway station is Markinch 14 km away where you can catch trains direct to Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth.
