Upstairs has two direct waterfront bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with an adjustable queen. The large, sunny back bedroom has water views, a queen bed, and a comfortable full pull out sofa. The small back bedroom has water views and a twin bed. There is a full bath upstairs.
Outside, there are perennial and annual flowers and plants. A Weber gas grill with chairs and a table are outside the kitchen. Lawn chairs and chaises are great for sunning and watching the boats go through. There is and outdoor shower. The area is quiet and peaceful. There are great restaurants close by to dine in or take out.
The neighborhood is very safe; all of the neighbors have been there for over 40 years. Beach chairs, beach towels and beach umbrellas provided.
The views from the house are just incredible. There is so much to see all the time that we say it can be sensory overload! You have views of the entrance of the Cape Cod canal, Mass Maritime with it's training ship, Onset and the bay. The house is situated on a small safe inlet off of the canal. Tankers, cruise ships, tug boats, yachts, and all types of pleasure boats go by. On one side of the inlet is a reproduction of Grover Cleveland's summer home and on the other side is the old Honeywell mansion. Fall asleep and wake to the sounds of the water, the bell buoys and the birds. It is a very peaceful place.
We love to boat, kayak, fish and swim out front. You can kayak/SUP in front of the house, in the back cove, over to Gray Gables beach or out to Mashnee. At the right tide you can catch fish from the jetty. Swimming at sunset at high tide is a family favorite! We love to bike ride in the neighborhood, the canal and out to Mashnee. The house has lots of room for a family to spread out in. There is a glider/couch that is great to sit on and look out or perfect for a nap. The home has original wood paneling and built in paintings. There is parking for three vehicles.More
