The guest house has a queen bed upstairs (large combination master suite/living room with This End Up couch set, vaulted ceiling, ceiling fans and walk out to deck) and bedroom with 2 twins downstairs, bathroom (renovated for 2023) on first floor, AC throughout the house (central downstairs and remote controlled mini split upstairs), washer/dryer, 42" flat screen TV with Amazon Firestick and internet based Xfinity cable, DVD Player, Stereo with IPod dock, Grill, outdoor shower, hardwoods downstairs and carpet upstairs. It is a short walk to downtown Vineyard Haven a short drive to many popular beaches and is on a quiet dead end street with its own driveway. Outstanding Value
This cottage is conveniently located to the main shopping area in Vineyard Haven and the Steamship Authority terminal. A short walk to the vineyard beach, yet situated among trees in a very peaceful, serene setting. David Smith takes excellent care of his guests and the cottage is warm and welcoming. Everything you need for a great Vineyard vacation is there at your fingertips. Members of my group particularly loved the outdoor shower and sitting on the deck reading, eating or chatting. The cottage is very clean and well appointed. Would strongly recommend !

great stay in Vineyard Haven
We enjoyed staying in David's guest house. It was clean, well situated (a short walk from downtown Vineyard Haven), and made for a relaxing few days on the Vineyard. David was easy to reach and very responsive to any of our needs. I would highly recommend you stay at the guesthouse.

Amazing stay!
We had such a great time during our stay at David's guest house. The location could not have been any more perfect as it was a nice quick walk from the Vineyard Haven ferry. David could not have been more accommodating either! He offered to pick us up from the ferry as well as drop us off for our return ferry. He came over to greet us and that's it, let us truly enjoy his house. The accommodations were perfect for us, had a great bedroom area that was wonderfully large and comfortable. While we didn't use the kitchen, it was large and spacious, perfect for those that are looking for make a nice family meal during their stay.
I would recommend David's house to anyone looking to stay on the vineyard. Absolutely perfect!

Comfortable and great location
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home in Vineyard Haven! It was not far from the boat dock we arrived at and it was close to town. Everything we needed was supplied at the house and the house was very comfortable and easy to relax in! Owner was very nice and great to deal with. I would highly recommend this home if you need a great place to rent!

Wonderful stay, ideal with kids
We stayed at David's home in Vineyard Haven for 2 nights in October. Despite having a sick toddler, we had a wonderful time! David was a gracious host- he greeted us and accommodated our every need (he answered every question promptly before our stay and even dug us up 2 high chairs for our twins!) but was never intrusive. We loved the house- perfect for a family, with room for the kids to run around and play and a big upstairs for us to enjoy once they were sleeping. Even better, the price beat any hotel room on the island and it was much more comfortable than sharing one room would have been. The location was great as well- a pretty walk into Vineyard Haven, which is the least touristy of the Vineyard towns and has the most interesting shopping and eating, in my opinion. We also did two lovely hikes which were easy drives frmo the house. We really enjoyed this part of the island (love the off-season- crisp sunshine and no crowds!) and renting this home made a great base for a relaxing stay!

Great Place to Stay!
The cottage in Vineyard Haven was perfect for our four night stay. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped and David was the perfect host. The location is good, very close to town.

Great visit
Very comfortable accommodation, everything as advertised. On a quiet street, but conveniently placed for a short walk down to Vineyard Haven main street.
Owner responds quickly to e-mail/text and is very helpful.

Good Location, Great Owners
We had a great stay. It was a nice walk to downtown Vineyard Haven. David was very accommodating and easy to work with. I would definitely stay there again.

Cute guesthouse close to town
Great stay. David, the owner, is amazingly nice and accommodating. Loved the location. Easy walk into main street of Vineyard Haven with all its restaurant and shops. Nice upstairs large open bedroom.
