You can escape to this prefect hideaway at our River Bend vacation cabin. Just renovated with updated decor throughout, this Cabin has a fresh new look. It has a full kitchen that opens into a cozy living room with cathedral, vaulted ceiling. With knotty pine walls throughout, it adds to the cabin atmosphere. For the young at heart, climb the ladder to a loft where you will find 2 built in twin beds, with a mini lounge area! Or enjoy one of the 2 bedrooms on the main floor. First bedroom has a queen bed, and the other bedroom has 2 floating beds. One full and one twin that is higher up on the wall. <BR><BR>Location, location, location! River Bend Cabin is centrally located on the heart of the "inland waterways" with 35' of frontage steps from the Sturgeon River. It is close to downt...

Stay up north
It was a wonderful stay. Beautiful wooden house by a river. Climb up the stairs to sleep in the attic. Enjoy the fire pit outside. Something to do every season of the year, swimming in lake Michigan or one of the beautiful inland lakes, skiing, leave changing, birds chirping.

Perfect Home Away from Home
What a WoNdErFuL stay we had! The weather wasn't the best but we made the best of it! We were able to tube down the Sturgeon River on the hottest day. That was sooo fun!
Thank you for providing such an adorable place to stay. The kids absolutely loved it!! We finished off our week with Mini Golf at Big Bear last night. What a great little course.

Riverfront vacation
Very clean cabin! Excellent river front view with a patio table and plenty of chairs to sit on the deck, relax and enjoy the river. Love the firepit down by the river. Plenty of restaurants, gift shops and the grocery store is across the street. The neighbors are friendly too.

Great spot to relax and enjoy life
First of all, Anna kept in touch at all times and quickly answered any questions that came up. The cabin was so relaxing with a great view of the river, it was true, we didn't need to bring very much as far as supplies, the cabin had it all. The cabin is located just down the road from town, everyone was very friendly and gave us those little pieces of information that just made the vacation even more enjoyable. We are planning to visit again.

Exactly As Advertised!
This is a great clean cabin! Right on the river for a fun lazy river tube ride. Kids loved the loft & being right on the river. I would highly recommend this cabin! Has everything you need & is very close for walking into town.

Cute cabin
Cute cabin right on the Sturgeon River. Great deck to sit on and enjoy the scenery. Bathroom was pretty old and not very nice, and the hot water couldn't sustain my husband and I taking a shower back to back. But overall, a fun place to stay.

Nice cabin - park within walking distance. You can tube the river behind the house to the park and easily walk back! Easily sleeps 6 with 4 twin beds and one double.

Riverside relaxation in stylish cozy cabin
Great communication during booking. We enjoyed our summertime stay sitting in the backyard overlooking the Sturgeon River as kayaks, rafts and canoes floated by. Backyard has fire pit and a nice deck with grill. Fabulous screen room off the back. Love the all-wood interior, outstanding decor with attention to every detail. Although small, did not feel that way with high ceiling and efficient layout. Extremely clean and tidy! A comfortable retreat after a busy day having fun. Great location - we found so much to do locally, we decided to pass on a side trip to Mackinaw. If you get a rainy day, this cabin has you covered with DVD and a great flat screen TV and WiFi and a great hanging swing chair in the screen room. The street is easy to miss so check an Earth satellite view map before you go. There was no road sign for the street. We enjoyed our Indian River vacation, and would definitely choose this cozy cabin again!

Steps from your front door you can tube, kayak or canoe the Sturgeon River and be just a few minutes to the mouth of Burt lake. launch your boat into Burt Lake, a 17,120 sq. acre lake, if your destination is North you just hit the Indian River, one of Michigan's largest Inland Lakes which flows into Mullett Lake, a 17,360 sq. acre lake then follow Cheboygan River out into the Great Lakes which lead to all waterways. OR if your desire is to head South at Bullhead Bay, the Crooked River flows into Burt Lake. Crooked River winds toward Alanson and the clam lock raises boats two feet to the level of Crooked Lake. Navigation on the Crooked River generally limits boats to 25 feet. At Crooked Lake's west end, you are two and a half land miles, but 104 water miles to Little Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan. Whether your adventure plans are action packed or laid back and peaceful, Northern Michigan's Inland Waterway is the perfect spot for you to extent your watersports from early spring to late fall. <BR><BR>Want to stretch your legs and hit a round of golf? We have some spectacular courses! Indian River Golf Club & bar. Close by are Petoskey: Harbor Springs: Little Traverse Bay, Hidden River Golf & Casting, Boyne Highlands. Alanson: Maple Ridge, Chestnut Valley, Eagle Beach. Cheboygan. We are avid outdoorsmen here, with miles of stateland to wander about. Grey cabin. <BR>From Petoskey/Bay Harbor/Harbor Springs: North 131 R on W M-68 North on S Straits Hwy across bridge 2nd R (Independence) home on R. <BR><BR>A short walk from the cabin you will find Big Bear Advantages to rent all your river rafting supplies (Tubes,Kayaks, rafts), McDonald's or Burger King, Kens grocery store, a smoke house BBQ/ Bar restaurant with karaoke, Wilson's Rivers Edge Restaurant, Subway and a great fish smokehouse. You have everything you need just steps from your cabin door, but when your at the cabin it has the perfect relaxing setting.
