Everything you need is here-Cable TV, WiFi, Washer & Dryer and more! This cabin is located in Manistique, Michigan which lies along the south shore of Indian Lake. Indian Lake is 8400 acre spring fed lake. The Lodge is 100 feet from the shoreline, behind cabins #5 & #6, with a great view and easy access to Indian Lake. Indian Lake is the fourth largest inland lake in the Upper Peninsula with an area of 8,400 acres. It is 5 miles long and 3 miles wide. Indian Lake has a maximum depth of 18 feet with about 90 percent of the lake less than 15 feet deep. Game fish include perch, walleye, northern pike, muskellunge, rock bass, small mouth bass, bluegill, sturgeon and brown trout. This vacation spot is great for swimming, boating, water sports, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, biking and sight seeing. Also, a cozy spot during hunting season. Easy access to launching your boat is best at the state park nearby (1/2 mile from the Lodge and a $4.50 per vehicle if you do not have a State sticker in your window.) We do recommend pulling your boat nightly due to the high winds. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS A/C: No. Fans (2 oscillating) are available for use and there is a nice breeze that comes in off the lake. Association: This cabin is a part of the Mountain Ash Condo Association. Back in the 1980's this was known as the Mountain Ash Resort. ATV's: Not allowed at this property. Bathrooms: Bathroom #1: Small sink and toilet Bathroom #2: shower, toilet, sink (washer/dryer in the bathroom) Beach: The beach area outside the pavilion is small, and it is just used for swimming. It is not for docking boats. The association does not allow boats to be pulled up and left all night. They must be taken to the Indian Lake State Park and trailered back and forth each night. Bedroom Configuration: Bedroom 1 (front): 2 twin beds Bedroom 2 (middle): full + twin bunks Bedroom 3 (back bedroom, next to 1/2 bath): 1 queen-sized bed + Living Room queen-sized pull-out sofa, lazy boy recliner couch w recliner on both ends. All Lazy-Boy furniture in the living room. Boats: The association does not allow boats to be pulled up and left all night. They must be taken to the Indian Lake State Park and trailered back and forth each night. Easy access to launching your boat is best at the state park nearby (1/2 mile from the Lodge and a $4.50 per vehicle if you do not have a State sticker in your window.) We do recommend pulling your boat nightly due to the high winds. Cable/Satellite TVs: There is a 27' TV with cable, Plus, there is an additional TV with cable in each of the bedrooms. Cell phone service: Cell phone service is generally unreliable in the Upper Peninsula when you travel outside of Marquette and Escanaba. Distances: *Mackinac Bridge- approximately 1 hour away. *Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore- approximately 1 hour away. *Tahquamenon Falls State Park- approximately 2 hours away. Dock: There is NOT a private dock for the Indian Lake Lodge. At times, we may be able to offer you dock space at another cabin (300 feet from the Lodge), yet this is never guaranteed. Please call or text our office (734) ********. You can paddle to Indian Lake in about 2 minutes, it's just across the street and the headway is just a couple hundred yards away. Fire Pit- YES Fishing: Game fish include perch, walleye, northern pike, muskellunge, rock bass, small mouth bass, bluegill, sturgeon and brown trout. Fishing License: You can purchase your fishing license online through the Michigan DNR website Fishing poles: Please bring your own. Grill: Yes there is a charcoal grill available. Guest must bring their own charcoal. Grocery Store: 10-15 min drive into Manistique Guns: We cannot allow target shooting anywhere near the Indian Lake (Mountain Ash Association) Cottages. There are neighbors close by. Plus, there are local 2 gun ranges in the area that are accessible. Internet: WiFi is available Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. If you are fussy about the thread count of your sheets, just let me know, and I'll make sure we leave a bed open for your sheets. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and bath towels. Parking: Enough parking for 2-4 vehicles. Pavilion: As a guest, you are welcome to use the pavilion to spend time along the water, cook or enjoy the small beachy area. The Indian Lake State Park, just 1 mile around the bend has a more expansive pavilion/ sandy beach area. Pets: We're sorry, yet due to safety concernMore
