Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

A perfect country side home from home
We booked quite late so couldn’t book the full time we wanted to. So we booked 2 separate stays. It was perfect, beautiful location. A home from home. Emma was the perfect host, so responsive. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back! Loved the little courtyard garden too. And lovely welcoming touches like nice biscuits milk tea bags etc. next time we will definitely be booking early! Thanks Emma for a wonderful stay!

Very enjoyable
Family of 5 stayed for four nights during half term. This property is in a beautiful rural location just north of Stevenage and within easy reach, by car, of Cambridge. The Creamery is comfortable, modern and welcoming - well appointed kitchen & bathroom, games in the cupboard, TV/DVD, Wi-Fi. We appreciated the milk, tea/coffee and biscuits brought in for our arrival. We made good use of the wood-burner to fend off the cold nights and more wood was provided when requested for £4 a (generous) bag. (There are electric heaters in all rooms too.) There are two double bedrooms - one with an extra bed to bring it up to 5. It's a mile walk to Ardeley along country lanes to Church Farm (which we visited) or the Jolly Waggoner pub. The Cromer windmill is just across the field from the farm gate. (but the B1037 is not pedestrian friendly, stick to the footpaths or lanes!) We were glad we'd brought wellies. We'd definitely recommend and hope to visit again.

Property in lovely location and well equipped
Nice clean property, which was well equipped, warm and cosy on cold days. Kitchen was well fitted out with all the utensils needed, and freezer, washing machine dishwasher etc. A couple of small niggles like missing door curtain over front door, which looked straight onto the bathroom, and the bed in the small bedroom had a terrible squeak on the RHS. Emma apologised and promised to rectify these little niggles

Thank you for your review Peter - the curtain is now back as promised (it was away for cleaning), and we intend to oil the bed once we have a day that the Creamery is unoccupied. We are very glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise, and hope you come back and visit some time! Many thanks, Emma

Peaceful stay
Lovely place to stay in a beautiful part of the country. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom clean. Kitchen stocked with the usual utensils you'd need. Lovely log fire for cosy nights in in front of TV ( we brought a few Dvds to watch but cupboard had a small selection). We used the facilities inc washing machine, airer, iron and they all served their purpose. Cooked meals and used oven which were all fine. Shops within 5/10 mins drive or used local farm shops within 2 mins drive (or 30 mins stroll)! We asked for a high chair for a little visitor and it was delivered when requested. Cleaners were friendly and 'inconspicuous'. We enjoyed walks in the area to Cottered Ardeley and Cromer. Beautiful part of the world and would recommend and visit again if we needed to stay in the area again.

Outstanding property in beautiful location
We chose the Creamery as we were looking for a modernised property that had retained its period features and were not disappointed. The Creamery is a beautiful conversion to an extremely high standard. The location is wonderfully quiet with easy access to large towns as well as wonderful country walks. The exposed beams and high ceilings and overall quality made the Creamery an ideal base to relax almost as if at home and free to explore a very pretty part of the country. The service from the owners was exceptional, easy to contact and very willing to help despite being on holiday themselves. Our stay at the Creamery made for a perfect New Year and without hesitation I would say we will undoubtedly return.

Fantastic comfortable barn conversion
We stayed at The Creamery for 3 nights this month. We chose the barns initially as there are not too many options for self catering in the area, but they also looked very well converted. We specifically wanted to be in driving distance of the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Tour and Whipsnade Zoo. We also could have taken our dog i believe if we had wanted but she went on a little holiday of her own instead! The owners Emma and Owen were quick to respond to our booking and access to the barn was easy. They gave us good instructions to get there too. There are two other converted barns in the court yard, one being used whilst we were there although you wouldn't know as any noise did not travel. The Creamery has two big double bedrooms, lovely bathroom with amazing power shower and a lounge/kitchen with extendable table depending on how many of you stay there. The kitchen was stocked with lovely little bits to help for when you first arrive, such as dishwasher tablets, oil, pepper, pint of milk etc. We did actually take some of those things with us so was a lovely suprise that they were already there. We cooked in twice and had a take away from the Chinese in the nearby village as well. A cot and highchair were provided for our 10 month old for no extra cost which was excellent. Free wifi was great as well. The only minor issues we had were that the hot water ran out on day two, but this was probably because all 4 adults had hot powerful showers in the morning, we put the dishwasher on and 2 had a bath in the evening! We had no problems the other times. The wifi also went off on the last day but we did have a major thunder storm in the night and we know something got hit by lightening and the electricity went off which probably reset the box and lastly one of the beds was quite noisy as it was iron! All in all i would definately recommend these barns to stay in and would go again myself if ever in the area. We had a fantastic time and felt as though we were staying in a home from home. Thank you Emma and Owen.

Hi Rebekah, Thank you for your review - we are glad you had a good stay and apologies for the noisy bed! I think you are right about the thunderstorm causing problems with the wifi as BT subsequently said there was a fault on the line, which is now fixed. Thank you for coming to stay and we hope to see you again soon. Many thanks, Emma and Owen
