Holiday Rental House
I have two Ohana's on my property that function independent of one another. You can rent one or both, depending on your travel needs. My Ohana's are not suitable for children under the age of 12. We are located on a private road, which means minimal street traffic, at a cool elevation of 1500 feet. You will be amongst a very tropical setting with distant ocean views and killer sunsets! We are located less than 15 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes to down town Kailua Kona, 30 minutes from Waikoloa and 15 minutes from a beach. Any and everything you could want or need is provided in the Ohanas. Beach chairs, towels, umbrella, boogie board, snorkel gear, cooler, sunscreen, after sun lotion and gel and blue ice for your cooler. Beach chairs, towels, umbrella, boogie board, snorkel gear, cooler, sunscreen, after sun lotion and gel and blue ice for your cooler. There are travel mugs so you can take water with you to the beach and there is a Britta water filter in the refrigerator. A washer and dryer are located underneath the Ohanas. There is no charge to use them and laundry detergent and softener are provided for you as well. I also provide Kona and an Organic coffee in the freezer, as well as creamers, organic sweeteners, organic cooking spray and organic canola oil. There is a full spice rack in the kitchen as well. You may want to check the Ohana out before you go shopping as there's usually some stuff left behind from previous guests, i.e. butter, ketchup, mayo, mustard, random food items, etc. You will love the tranquility of the birds in the morning and in the evening. Once it gets dark here, you can hear a pin drop. It's a very relaxing environment set amongst a very tropical setting. Lastly, if you've ever dreamt of being in the water with the manta rays at night (which is a very popular thing to do here), my co-host works for a company that takes people out in a 6 person outrigger canoe. Anyone who stays with us gets a discount off the excursion. They also offer kaying trips as well which are discounted as well. If deep sea fishing is your desire, please let us know when you get here as we can get you a great deal on that as well. More

A perfect place to stay near all the attractions of Kona but away from the heat, the traffic and the tourist scene. The attractive, impeccably clean and comfortable unit is stocked with everything from a wish list of beach gear to snacks, wine, staples, and...More

About the neighbourhood
We are literally about 15 minutes from things you may be doing; i.e., shopping, Costco, Safeway, beaches, etc. We are 30 minutes from Waikoloa, 45 from Waimea, about an hour and 15 from Hilo and about 2 hours from Volcano, when accessible.
Getting around
If your budget can swing it and you are an adventurous person, like us, I HIGHLY recommend a 4 wheel drive for your rental. There are so many cool things you will miss out on if you don't have one. People who visit the island don't realize, prior to arrival, how big this island really is. If you took all the other islands in the major Hawaiian isle chain and put them on this island, we would still have available land mass and it continues to grow bigger all the time, thanks to the world's most active volcano.
