About the neighbourhood
The Vézère Valley is exceptionally rich in tourist heritage: cave of Lascaux (Montignac), medieval town of Sarlat-la-Canéda, Manor of Eyrignac, castle of Castelnaud, castle of Beynac and Cazenac, the Roque Gageac, the Roque Saint -Christophe, the abyss of Proumeyssac, the international prehistory pole at Les Eyzies de Tayac ... It is also a cradle of French gastronomy (foie gras and truffles) with many restaurants in Sarlat, Saint-Léon-sur- Vézère, the castle of Saint-Geniès, the castle of Fleunie ... It is finally a natural heritage very well preserved hiking, mountain biking, down the Vézère or the Dordogne in canoes, bird watching ponds Valojoulx, swim at the ponds of Tamniès ...
The car remains the way to discover the most convenient region, but sports can prefer the bike (possibility to rent bikes in Montignac, including electric bikes because the Dordogne, it climbs!).
