West Bexington has a highly regarded public house and restaurant and a wonderful organic farm shop. The area is renowned for its fishing as well as being an excellent base for bird watching and walking, being situated right on the South West Coastal Path. Nearby attractions include, the picture postcard thatched village of Abbotsbury with its numerous art galleries and tea rooms, as well its popular Swannery, Sub Tropical Gardens, and Children's Farm. Burton Bradstock, some 3 miles away has a family friendly beach and the renowned and award winning seafood restaurant, Hive Beach Café. Only slightly further afield are the larger centres, such as the vibrant, artistic and cultural town of Bridport, the fun, family resort of Weymouth, and the historic centres such as Dorchester and Lyme Regis. Chesil Lodge Cottage provides a fantastic location from which to explore the Dorset countryside and World Heritage Jurassic Coast, whether it is for a family holiday, walking, bird watching, fishing or cycling, or, just to get away from it all. Please note that although there is free WiFi it is rather slow and mobile reception could be best described as patchy! More
