For your sleep time; two of the three bedrooms (one is en-suite) can be set out as twin bedded or super king sized (luxury hotel size). The 3rd bedroom is smaller with a standard double bed. The family bathroom has a large walk in shower and an air bath. Located in a converted stable is the Games Room (no heating) with free to use pub style pool and table football, or fish in our well stocked pond at the end of our back lane. Your large private off road parking area is in the rear cobbled courtyard of the property adjacent to your main entrance. Free WI-FI Rural but not isolated just 500 metres off the A671. In the village you will find a bakers, butchers, post office, supermarket, pubs, restaurants, a swimming pool & gym... with a 9 hole golf course, water-skiing & cycling. Manchester 30 mins, Rochdale 10 mins, with Saddleworth, Ramsbottom, Littleborough and Hebden Bridge, all close by. More

The barn has been beautifully converted with all local amenities on the doorstep. Paul and Gill were the perfect hosts, nothing was ever too much trouble. Our two year old son loved wandering around the grounds and looking at the horses. Each day he eagerly...More

About the neighbourhood
Whitworth Rossendale, has more public footpaths within its boundary than any other borough in the country. The 47 mile long Rossendale Way crosses over the summit of Whitworth’s Brown Wardle Hill. Mountain bike magazines class the area as having some of the best riding in the country. Much of its moorland is wild and extensive. Brown Wardle is also popular with hang gliders which border the Pennine Bridleways Mary Towneley Loop attracting horse rider’s places as far away as Southern Spain.
How to get there
Airport: Manchester Approx. 25 miles or 40 Mins from Airport by car. Rochdale train station 20 mins to Manchester. Manchester (17 miles) is just over 1/2 hour away by car. Leeds about 45 mins. We are approx 15 minutes from junction 20 of M62 Motorway. Direction by car: Take the A671 (Whitworth Road) out of Rochdale direction Burnley. After approx 2.5 miles, turn right (after Healey bend) on to Tonacliffe Road. Take the 1st right on to Highgate Lane After only 150 metres, on the left you come to 'Highgate Farm' (this is a house not a farm sign on their gate post!) Take the 2nd driveway on the left 30 metres beyond Highgate Farm, watch for the sign at the bottom of our long tarmac drive 'Hindle Pastures'
