It doesn't take long to feel like you're a world away and we are maybe a mile from state lands. Horses can be ridden to trails (Roberts Mountain) from our pasture with only a very short (maybe half mile) jaunt down Barnaby Lake and Meadow Creek Roads. Hiking, foraging and ORV same place or many others to choose from. A handful of lakes, a couple rivers in all directions. The closest lake a short (15 min) drive away and the Tobacco River is closer than that. For meals we welcome guests to use the kitchen, there is space reserved in the fridge for guests to store groceries. Or, buzz into Fortine and check out one of the eateries there. Being rural, there is no cell reception once you're off the highway unless connected to private wifi.

How to get there
It is super easy to find us once you are traveling on HWY 93. From either north or south travel, turn at the Fortine exit. This is Meadow Creek Road. Follow Meadow Creek Road approximately three miles till Barnaby Lake Road on the right and turn. The very next left is Inspiration Hollow, a gravel drive. Follow this track down the hill and through the gate (usually open, occasionally closed during open range season) till you see the orange rail fence. The next left just before the antique tractor will take you right around to the cabin. Feel free to park to unload on the gravel pad right in front of the garage. Or if you prefer, you can park in front of the chicken yard.
