My wife and I stayed here for three weeks in June 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. We've loved this part of France for a long time, it being an area of outstanding beauty in which the house fits perfectly. It's an attractive, comfortable and well equipped home that sits in a large, private garden where one can relax quietly in the shade of the hot sunshine, watching and listening to the wildlife - including a pair of golden orioles when we were there - and admire the fabulous mountain views towards the Spanish border.
The nearest town of any size is Céret which, although a half-hour drive away, is a lovely, ancient place with several excellent restaurants, and the journey there and back, through lovely scenery, never seemed too long.
Drive to the west or south, into the Pyrenees, or take a walk on one of the local footpaths, and the views will take your breath away.
Joan, the owner of the house, is very helpful and friendly, and telephoned us...
