Reviewed 16 June 2015 for a stay in June 2013

My wife and I stayed here for three weeks in June 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. We've loved this part of France for a long time, it being an area of outstanding beauty in which the house fits perfectly. It's an attractive, comfortable and well equipped home that sits in a large, private garden where one can relax quietly in the shade of the hot sunshine, watching and listening to the wildlife - including a pair of golden orioles when we were there - and admire the fabulous mountain views towards the Spanish border.

The nearest town of any size is Céret which, although a half-hour drive away, is a lovely, ancient place with several excellent restaurants, and the journey there and back, through lovely scenery, never seemed too long.

Drive to the west or south, into the Pyrenees, or take a walk on one of the local footpaths, and the views will take your breath away.

Joan, the owner of the house, is very helpful and friendly, and telephoned us...

Reviewed 15 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We had a lovely 2 weeks here. The house is very comfortable with everything that you could want. The views from the terrace were superb, looking over the mountains towards Spain. Lots of great walks near by and good position for trips to Spain, coast, Abbeys and lovely Catalan towns and villages.

The owner could not have been more helpful with lovely post cards and information before the holiday and a lovely card afterwards. The only slight reservation we had was the drive back up the mountain in the evenings after going out but we got used to it and it wasn't a problem.
