Views over the English channel and 2 decks with all day sunshine. Located on a spacious forested holiday park, 5 star rated by the English tourist board. Free use of tennis court, crazy golf, volleyball and boules (subject to small equipment hire charge). Bar on site with pool table and regular family events in the school holidays. The beach, with two renowned gastro-pubs, is a short walk (within 150m) and the park is in the pretty historical fishing village of Kingsdown with a shop, delicatessen/butchers and hairdressers. Excellent golf courses nearby. Kingsdown is on National Cycle Route 1 with a family friendly level cycling path along the sea to Deal (cycle hire available locally). Also, you can enjoy wonderful walks over the White Cliffs to St Margarets and Dover. Boat rides available from Dover and Sandwich to see the local seal colony. Regular day trips to France - lots to see on the continent within an hour's drive of Calais - don't forget your passport! Please note: No pets are allowed on site. The pool is currently closed for renovation and prices have been discounted for summer 2019 to reflect this. There is an open air paddling pool in Walmer and indoor swimming pools in nearby Deal and Dover. *The bar is open at peak times and operates as a members' club for guests of the park, with membership per lodge of £1.More

About the neighbourhood
This is an area of the UK which contains many walking and cycling routes as well as over 500 years of history.The historical coastal town of Deal is close by. It is a very popular seaside town with pretty fishermans cottages and cobbled streets. Two castles built by Henry VIII (Deal and Walmer) perfectly preserved by English Heritage aclose to Kingsdown park. Deal has a town motto of ‘Adjuvate Advenas’ , meaning “ Befriend a Stranger” – so expect a warm and friendly welcome! Deal is mentioned in the Doomsday book, but its history goes back much further.
