This is a very special, peaceful place to spend a week--unlike the crowded, noisy waterfront properties listed at most real estate agents. The cabin has a 270 degree pond view with two docks and comes with a canoe and dinghy; a small sailboat is available for added fee). And it is among the most affordable on the pond. It offers vacationers the best of both worlds: privacy and gorgeous views, a pond with no motorboats, with a real wilderness feel to it and abundant wildlife--yet a short drive from Boston and close to major tourist attractions and outlet shopping as well as some of the best hiking, biking, fishing and outdoor recreation in New England. We had the lake to ourselves, with gorgeous views from 3 sides of the cabin. It was a perfect vacation spot for this nature-loving couple who live to hike, swim, kayak. We saw bald eagles and loons every day, and a bear was nearby.

This place is a steal! A number of friends and I went up to North Sandwich to spend a quiet weekend, and found exactly what we were looking for here. The house has plenty of space, a great large space with kitchen, dining table and living room for eating, visiting and relaxing, and of course, the lake, which is fantastic....

Bearcamp Pond Lodge is a lovely rustic get away, perfect to soothe the soul. The pond itself (yes it is right on the water) is not only gorgeous and serene, it is quite large, much more like a lake than a pond. They do not allow power boats so it is an exceedingly quiet and peaceful and BEAUTIFUL place. The...
