El Prado, Taos, Taos County, New Mexico
First PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAP. They have us located the wrong place so far. We are located on the triangle intersection at the top of the map they show.

This charming rental is cradled at the foot of Taos mountain between Taos and Ski Valley on the Valdez Rim Road. It's is quiet, private, and a truly special experience. This authentic restored 1000 square foot adobe is a local landmark, with a spectacular 360 degree view over the mesa and back towards ski valley. A beautiful 15-minute drive up to the ski lift, 5 minutes to the charming town of Arroyo Seco with great restaurants and shops, and a beautiful 20-minute drive back to town!

This artist's home is very colorful with lots of original art. It features an old kiva fireplace as well as a wood stove (if you know how to use it) and we also have radiant heat, skylights, sal...

About the neighbourhood
We are located about 20 minutes from both the center of Taos and in the other directions, Taos Ski Valley. The house is on the rim of the Valdez valley. Our neighborhood is called Des Montes (but being Taos, our PO is in El Prado).

Taos is an amazing art/music/historic town - just Google. And we'll help!

An easy drive up the mountain will take you along the river to the Kit Carson national forest with its many hiking trails, and on up to the newly developed ski area.

We are close to many Sports & Adventure Activities: Cross Country Skiing, Cycling, Equestrian Events, Fishing, Golf, Hot Air Ballooning, Hunting, Kayaking, Mountain climbing and Biking, Paragliding
Rafting, Snowboarding, Snowmobiling
Getting around
You will need a car. Our road is paved and plowed in the winter, so no problem. :D You may want 4-wheel drive if you're going out to the hinterlands or up to Ski Valley in the winter.

How to get there
