Peace, tranquility and a home away from home awaits you in our guesthouse, located in the Manjai Kunda area. approx 1 km from the Kuto beach, 3 km from Senegambia and 15 km from Banjul.
Sundowners consist of 5 studio apartments(sleeps 2) and 2 bungalows sleeps(4). It is possible to add extra beds in the apartments and in bungalow B. Most beds can be arranged as dbl or twin beds.

Amazing all round friendly place to stay.
Having visited the Gambia previously and stayed in many places I found this a perfect base.
This is a real hassel free relaxing place to stay.
After a busy day at the beach, centre of activity etc this is perfect to go back to and relax. All facilities available,clean and nothing too much trouble for the staff and management.
Close to amenities, taxi's about 50 metres up the road if needed.
Pick up and drop off at airport perfect.
Could not fault these apartments in any way.
A very hassel free enjoyable stay.
I would highly recommend these apartments.

Could not ask for a better stay with a fantastic pool and no busters.
I could live there. The staff make you feel like family. Every thing is clean, the pool is cleaned daily. And no busters outside giving you trouble. Ok if you want to entertain too. Some places make you feel like your staying in a prison but here it's very relaxed. 100% I will stay on my next visit.

Quiet, clean apartment with a great pool, value for money
The four rooms in the apartment building are a bit tiny but clean (cleaning 2-3 times a week). Nice and helpful local staf (maid, guard, driver). Great pool, bit cold but clean. Distance to the beach is a 20 min. walk. WiFi is available. Value for money!

Just perfect
We stayed three weeks during the holiday season at the sundowners and gladly recommend that place. We wanted something clean and quite, with a swimming pool that is actually big enough to swim in, we wanted internet as we also intended to work and we wanted a place that is not too big, so that one can feel at home. At the same time it should have sufficient apartments to allow for friends to come and join us for a few days. Sundowners is really beautiful and calm, located in the quieter area of Kotu which is still close enough for the beach and Senegambia. Dave and Bella took care of the place while we were there and they did a great job. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Relaxing, safe, just as I wanted it this time!
I appreciated to be collected from the airport and taken back to the airport when the holiday was over. Dave and Bella who are the hosts for Sundowners are very friendly, helpful and nice couple. The place is beautiful with a lot of fantastic flowers and the pool is a plus to it all. It was swwet to start my day with a yoga class by the pool. The staff were all friendly and helpful. This place i close to most I needed, like the sea, restaurants and whatever social life you need. I strongly recommed it. It was also safe and calm, which was what I really needed this time. Thank you for making my holiday a beautiful memory.

Sundowners No Problem
My wife and myself stayed at Sundowners for five weeks.Its the perfect retreat very relaxing with security on the gate,Just a short taxi ride to Sennegambia. Bella and Dave are the Perfect hosts,nothing was a problem to them.We spent Christmas day there BBQ/drinks ect THANKS FOLKS. The pool is very clean and a good size (taught my wife to swim there !!!!!!!)

Sundowners is a very nice place, near to local shops, restaurants and taxi service round the corner.

Fantastic fourth visit
Where can I start?!
Ideal location, great staff, free wifi, free pick up and drop off at airport, wonderful pool, lovely new linen and towels this season, daily cleans and my favorite washing and ironing done for a small fee!
The apartments are great for groups staying who prefer there own space. There was 5 of us this time so we booked one bungalow and one apartment both of which have their own cooking facilities. Last year we there was 7 of us and Sundowners was ideal.
Having travelled extensively in The Gambia for several years and initially staying in various hotels we decided a few years ago to book an apartment. We were after a place with a pool and abit of freedom to invite our Gambian friends round for dinner seeing as we have been to their houses many times! Sundowners ticked all the boxes.
For us it's a real home from home, nothing is too much trouble for Lamin the main security person, The rooms are cleaned daily to a good standard and washing done and ironed on request.. Very chillled out atmosphere which is what we look for.
The apartments are just off the main road where taxis are available. 50 - 100d to Senegambia or a 15 minute walk to the small strip at Kuto. Plenty of local shops and fruit stalls around. Right choice supermarket 50d away which sells eveything!!
Already planning our next trip and will be staying at Sundowners - wouldn't stay anywhere else!!

Amazing trip recommmend
I stayed in a bungalow at Sundowner with my Husband (just married) & adult son and we actually had our wedding reception there !! was the best day and made my wedding reception so memorable. My husband is African so he knows standards in Kololi generally we both liked Sundowner.
Rooms are clean ..wet rooms attached to bedrooms /small but adequate kitchen. Patio & small living room you need nothing more!
Staff very helpful and area quiet and peaceful ideal for total chill out trip.
pool great if you choose to stay at home some days and not go to beach...Poco Loco beach area was our favourite. This my 4th trip to Gambia as my then partner now husband lives in Kololi love it soo much and its a shame more brits do not travel there short flight 5hrs 45 min and inexpensive to eat out in restaurants very economical 3 adult meals large portions great food quality with several alcoholic drinks would cost on average 1590 Dalasi approx. £24.96 amazing ..... No risk whatsoever of Ebola in that area SO GO FOLKS
stay at Sun downer and have a blissful holiday ! Janis & Kennedy Saydee with my son Fraser (who did not want to leave ) lol
