About the neighbourhood
Beaucaire is an ancient town on the Rhone River. From the 15th to the 19th century it was the main Mediterranean market and trading center in France. As a result, the town is full of palaces built by rich traders over the centuries. This apartment is in one of the grandest building in the town, the 'Hotel de Luxembourg.'

Only 15 km from Arles and Saint Rémy and 25 km from Avignon, Beaucaire is an ideal touring base from which to explore Provence, the Camargue, the Languedoc and much of the south of France. Nearby attractions include Roman amphitheaters, castles, medieval villages, Van Gogh landscapes, open-air markets, horse-riding, wine-tasting and boating.
