Swinging Sunset Villa is located in the north of Santorini Island in the traditional settlement of Oia (Ia) village. It is just 400 m. from the village, but so far enough away from “civilization” to be peaceful and the same time quiet. Ammoudi bay is just in walking distance, as well as Katharos beach. From Ammoudi bay you can swim at St.Nicolas Island and rent inflatable boat or arrange a sailing tour, get a trip to Volcano and Thirasia Island or just around Caldera.This elegant house comes highly recommended and features well-appointed accommodation. Perfect Spot!
Hi,
The swinging sunset villas are amazing, the location for us was perfect, just a short walk into Oia. The villas are kept very clean, upon arrival Rebecca, the lady who looks after daily maintenance, made us feel very welcome.
She even stocked our refrigerator upon request which I thought was above and beyond.
We rented 3 villas for the week, we actually got married in Santorini so my whole family stayed here. Marcos, the owner, was always more than helpful leading up to the wedding. We must have emailed back and forth for a few months and he always replied very quickly.
The place far exceeded our expectations and if we went back to Santorini for an anniversary at some point this is where we will stay. You get the beautiful Oia sunset without all the crowds. I would also recommend checking out Katharous lounge which is just a couple minute walk away. Mention that you read a review from Logan & Kelsey and I'm sure they will be very excited, this is where we had our reception.

Perfect vacation
My family of four (children ages 9 and 6) stayed at Swinging Sunset Villa for 11 nights. I have nothing but the highest recommendations. Booking was simple. We had flight problems and arrived a day late. Rebecca made special arrangements to check us in at an odd hour and provided invaluable advice. She also bought our groceries, going to three separate stores to obtain all the items. The property is delightfully appointed and impeccably clean. We had all the space and amenities we needed. The Jacuzzi was large and warm. The deck is large, with three separate outdoor eating spaces. The new swimming pool is wonderful. The unit has complete privacy from other villas – terrific for a late night dip. The villa is within a short walk to Oia - close enough for easy access and far enough for some seclusion from the hordes of tourists. We couldn't have wished for any more.

Perfection
Stayed here for a long awaited family holiday and couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay in. Markos the Operations Manager was a great help; even before the holiday had started he organised our transfer and answered any queries I had prior to checking in, also during our stay made us feel very welcome and helped us plan trips and make reservations where needed. The villa is in an ideal location with everything great about Oia within easy reach. The villa itself had everything we needed and the cleanliness was to a very high standard, to top it off all the staff are very polite and are happy to help. Really cannot wait to stay here again and thank Oia Sunset Villas for making our holiday the best we've ever had.

My husband and I with our 3 teenage daughters stayed 6 days at the swinging sunset villa. The villa is awesome, spotless clean and cosy. The outside area with pool( during our stay too cold to swim in), jacuzzi (which we enjoyed every day) and the breakfast table with sea view couldn't be better. It's a few minutes walk to Oia, the Amoudi harbor and the beach. We especially liked this side of the island, the other side with the more famous beaches isn't that authentic. Also when you travel in Oktober, Oia and Fira are still lively villages with all the shops and restaurants open.

Location, Location, Location!
Sunset Villas is in a perfect location. It is an approximately 8 minute walk to Oia and about a 10 minute walk to the Amoudi Bay. I have never seen such a beautiful location. The water is crystal clear and the people are friendly. The people we dealt with at the Sunset Villas were very nice. Our rental was mixed up but the manager quickly took care of it and it worked out well.
If we are talking about the lows of our trip, I would say that when the cruise ships come in watch out. It gets very, very crowded. Also, be prepared to walk up and down stairs all day long. We did get into shape but the first few days were difficult. We loved our trip and would go back in a heart beat.

Secluded LUXURY!!
We first inquired about this property in March 2019 for travel summer 2020. That trip was delayed two years, and we finally made it June 2022. Marcos could not have been more WONDERFUL during the pandemic, with us moving into a 2021 date and then again into a 2022 date; communication was always excellent & I did not worry that someone wasn't paying attention. This was a substantial large family trip, celebrating many life milestones. I had seen the pictures online hundreds of times prior to our arrival, and my husband and I, who treated everyone on this trip, literally shed tears as we all shared a toast on the evening of our arrival. This is a beautiful, simply luxurious villa, with service that exceeds expectations. When we were within about a month of arrival, we seemed to be in the hands of the "villa team," as opposed to Marcos, and we had transfers arranged and groceries ordered, which awaited us upon our arrival. The gentlemen at the check in area will help with all dinner reservations and groceries (can be continuously provided w/ a day's notice); hopefully they will work out the online check in process with everyone's passport numbers, b/c that part was quite clumsy and we eventually did all 7 of us on paper forms. We needed a transfer for a catamaran outing & they arranged that as well. The villa itself is just beautiful (though the villa team should note that they should upload new photos since the renovation, because it looks 100% different than the photos online, at least on this site).The footprint is the same, but It is now an all white and natural interior, with a wood/jute/woven vibe to the furnishings - gorgeous and simple. The private pool and outdoor setting is simply unbeatable; I wonder how our life's travels will ever top this place. The walk to Oia is on a cobblestone path, about 0.25 mile, slightly uphill into town but not a big deal for anyone of even a modest fitness level. The path is partially lit at night; when we walked home each evening, we used the lights on our phones to see our steps once we were beyond the lighted area. Anyone mobility challenged would not be able to do this, and within the villa, all sleeping is either down a set of stairs, or up to the loft. This splendid villa was everything that we hoped it would be and more. We enjoyed our private sunset every evening before heading into town for dinner. I knew it would be hard to leave it for a couple of outings, but we did, to do the requisite exploring of the beauty around us. If you want to feel enveloped in luxury while staring at the sea, in a private (not small!) pool, away from the buzz of Oia, and truly treat yourself and/or your loved ones, book this villa. You will not be disappointed, it is so worth it. We will return to Santorini for sure, and my only regret might be that our travel party will be too small to justify renting this villa again. It was just perfect for 7 of us, and for reference the ages of our party were 17 up to a fit 78. ENJOY and THANK YOU to everyone at Swinging Sunset for making our stay so perfect!!

Get off at the foot of red rock for swimming and also to enjoy fresh fish at the taverns and restaurants. <BR>The villa has its own parking area and doesn't require hard walk at steps.<BR><BR>Activities: Swimming, Motor & Sailing boat rental, boat tours to the volcano and nearby islands, private tours around the island, horse riding, scuba diving, fishing, nature watching, swimming, shoping with style, yoga and cooking lessons, visit wineyards.<BR><BR>Accessibility: <BR>The villa is accessible by car with private parking area. You have to consider the internal stairs, which drive you to the lower floor and the loft bedroom. People with mobility problems will face difficulties. What is more, young children must be supervised at all times. <BR><BR>Coast/Beach/Swimming: <BR>Katharos beach is accessible by walking (10 minutes). How to get there
Travel: <BR>Santorini can be reached by air from Athens with two flights per day or by ferry from Piraeus with frequent departures through the year. During the summer period there are additional flights between Santorini and other islands, and charter flights from abroad. There are also nautical connections between Santorini and many other Cyclades islands, Dodecanese, Crete and Thessaloniki. <BR>Participants arriving by air:<BR>Santorini can be reached from most international airports via Athens. Athens is served by the Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos and from Athens you can fly to Santorini airport (Thira). Nearly all international flights arriving in Greece allow adequate time for making the connecting flight to Santorini, but because local flights have a minimum seating capacity, please book these flights early.<BR>Olympic Airways Aegean Airlines<BR><BR>Travel to Santorini by boat from the Port of Piraeus:<BR>For those participants having extra time, there is a regular ferry boat service to Santorini from Piraeus offering a relaxing, pleasant journey. The cost is reasonable and takes an average of eight to nine hours. In addition there is also the solution of the speedy boats, which make this journey in five hours. Advanced reservations are not usually required on the ferry boats. <BR><BR>Santorini Transportation:<BR>There are 2 ways to move around Santorini, if you do not have a car or a scooter: the public bus and the taxi. There are connections for every village and on summer time there is a bus every 30 minutes, with the last one at midnight. On winter, the bus runs every 1 hour and the last one is around 9 pm. The central us station is in Fira next to the taxi station. Also keep in mind that the public transportation buses are green. Any other color you will see they are tourist buses. The buses here do not have automatic machines, so you have to have money with you to pay the collector. Maximum cost per ride is 2 euro per person, depending where you are going.<BR>The taxis are available on winter, but extremely hard to find on summer therefore we strongly recommend booking your transportation before you arrive. If you want to try your luck you can try book a taxi, if you go to the central square of Fira.
