Gem of a Cottage - Amazing View
First off I have to say I'm not big on online reviews but my experience was that awesome I had to tell the world.
I had the pleasure of staying at Greenwich Moonlight Bay last fall. I don't even know where to begin. The proprietors, Jennifer and Tony Martin were an absolute pleasure to deal with. No detail was over looked. The view from the deck, the living room, the kitchen and even from the pillow stunning. The Greenwich Bay is a thing of beauty.
When we checked in there was a bottle on wine, cheese, crackers, apple cider, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. There were tulips on the table. Everything was perfect!
The location is prime, just down the road from Greenwich Beach and super close to the quaint town of St. Peters, a beautiful PEI area. Just awesome.
Anytime I need a place to stay on PEI I will be heading to Greenwich Moonlight Bay!

A soothing stay at Moonlight Bay
First of all I would like to begin with writing what a wonderful and helpful person Jennifer is.
(Sorry Tony didn't get to meet you this time around so Jennifer gets all the points!)
Jennifer went out of her way to get to the airport very early (2am) due to our irregular landing hours and helped us to get to her cottage - something other renters could not accommodate. She stocked the pantry with staples for us as we were traveling with 2 little kids so we would have something to feed them when we woke up in the morning. This level of thoughtfulness is so heartwarming that we will never forget our stay at Jennifer and Tony's cottage. Jennifer contacted me the next morning to go over some attractions answer any questions and help settle us in and was always easy to reach if there were any questions to answer.
We stayed with 4 adults and 2 small children (4 and 2 years old) and slept very comfortably. There was internet with wifi to power the ipads and kids could watch tv or dvds in the evenings while dinner was being cooked. The kitchen has pretty much any form of pot and appliance you could think of at your own home and a BBQ on the patio along with a fire pit for some good old fashioned smore making.
The cottage is clean, has laundry facilities which are fantastic when you have little ones and is in a very quiet and soothing area. At night you could see the milky way in the sky. The Greenwich national park was only minutes away with a lovely clean and supervised beach for the children. (I would rate this beach along with the Basin Head beach my two favourite). For people looking for a quick bite the cottage is a two minute walk away from a canteen that serves all sorts of food along with ice cream.
I would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a place to stay both for the venue and the people who own and operate it.

We have arrived late while traveling before and it is no fun trying to find your way late at night in an area you are not familiar with. I figured having a few breakfast items in the am for the children would be helpful and I am glad they came in handy.

Stunning views, near a fabulous beach and PEI's Confederation Trail, with all the comforts of home!
My family and I recently returned from a fabulous trip to PEI and Greenwich Moonlight Bay. Jennifer and Tony are welcoming and conscientious - the cottage was well-equipped and meticulously maintained. You can really see their pride of ownership.
Lin's Take-out is right next door. The owners are nice and the food tastes great. Our kids loved running over for a $1 ice cream cone!
The views of the bay from the cottage are stunning and the Greenwich beach is wild and magnificent; you can walk for miles along the beach and on the park trails. The nearby community of St. Peter's Bay is a charming village, with a couple of nice places to eat, an excellent coffee shop and live music at the courthouse theater. The Confederation Trail runs through St. Peter's and the section west to Morell River is a wonderful ride along the Bay.
We fell in love with this section of PEI and Greenwich Moonlight Bay makes an excellent home base to explore the region and enjoy its scenic beauty. We can't wait to go back!

Wonderful Cottage
My wife and I stayed at Tony & Jennifer's cottage for a week on our honeymoon this past summer. It was a wonderful experience and they were a great couple to work with! Jennifer met us at the door and showed us around the place. They have carefully provided virtually everything a guest will need during their stay there--including things we hadn't considered! The quiet, beautiful layout was perfect for our first week of married life together as we took various trips out to explore the island. Jennifer had all the tourist info there that we needed to plan our explorations of the island. My wife and I would love to come back to PEI someday and we'd definitely book Tony & Jennifer's cottage again if it were available!

Breathtaking Scenery & Beautiful Cottage
My Fiancé and I stayed at Jennifer and Tony's cottage last summer and were thoroughly impressed with all of their amenities and service. After showing us around the cottage, they gave us some ideas as to where to go and what to do, very knowledgeable. Our favorite part of the cottage was the "Sun-Room" where we enjoyed our mornings eating breakfast while the sun gazed in. We also loved that there was a gorgeous national beach so close, where we would go for walks. We both enjoyed ourselves immensely and would go back for another vacation. Highly recommended for those looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay.

A little piece of Heaven in PEI
Just returned from an idyllic week in PEI staying at Greenwich Moonlight Bay. The accommodations were fantastic and location was wonderful - just a hop away from PEI National Park and 45 minutes away from Charlottetown.
Highlight was eating breakfast overlooking St. Peter's Bay every morning. Our 6-year old didn't want to leave.

I love your review title as we often refer to the cottage and this area as a little piece of heaven in PEI! We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay at our cottage and had a great PEI vacation.
A lot of people share your sentiment about enjoying breakfast while enjoying the beautiful view of the Bay. I never tire of that view myself.

Beautiful vistas from this comfortable rural cottage
Greenwich Moonlight Bay cottage was exactly as advertised and we found the accommodation suited our needs very well. The location is perfect for spending time relaxing, for accessing Greenwich National Park and its beautiful scenic trails, for travelling to other areas on the East Coast Drive. Jennifer and Tony were available for advice, and they kept the cottage and grounds in excellent shape. We would certainly recommend this cottage to a family or adult friends.

Perfect cottage for a relaxing vacation!
This was my first trip to PEI and the Greenwich Moonlight Bay cottage was a perfect place to stay! It was close to the Greenwich National Park with walking trails and beautiful beaches! The view from the cottage of St Peter's Bay was gorgeous!
You could see that Jennifer really decorated the cottage from her heart! Jennifer also made sure that what ever you needed on your stay she supplied. She makes it like your home away from home! I would highly recommend Greenwich Moonlight Bay Cottage for a relaxing vacation! Pat F

Superb
We (my wife, daughter and I) spent 3 nights at the cottage and were delighted with it. The view is amazing, the location is superbly relaxing. The cottage is amazingly well equipped with many thoughtful details that will make your stay easier (oops, forgot the BBQ forks for marshmallows over the campfire in the fire pit! No problem ! Large Propane BBQ worked well and all the utensils imagined are available; etc etc...) The quiet and functional heat-pump-AC was greatly appreciated during the lovely warm weather we had. Beds were very comfy / excellent sleep. The beach is a short drive down the road (~4min or ~15min if you prefer to pedal/bike) which of course is a stunning location and great place to spend at least a day or two. Anyhow. An amazing spot and a great place for a relaxing get-away; highly recommended.

The cottage has a large private yard located back from the road ...quiet, relaxing and peaceful. Safe for children with lots of room for them to play.The nearby tree line provides additional privacy and is home to many birds.Your well lit parking is located right beside the cottage.
One of the most beautiful sections of the Confederation Trail begins just 5 minutes away.. Ride a bike or walk on the Confederation Trail as it hugs the St. Peter's Bay. If you didn't bring your bike, don't worry you can rent a bike nearby.The quaint village of St. Peter's Bay is just 5 minutes down the road. (St. Peter's Landing, gas station, store, churches, craft shops, bike & kayak rentals, restaurants, seasonal entertainment and churches). There are a number of golf courses in Eastern PEI and the most operational lighthouses can be found in Eastern PEI. There are many beaches in the area.
Going for a drive on one of the many beautiful coastal drives or other scenic routes are sure to delight in every season. Points East Coastal Drive has much to offer.
The Points East Coastal Drive website provides you with lots of information on what to see and do in the area. To speak with someone once you arrive about detailed visitor information on this area and the rest of PEI is very easy as a Visitor Information Center is located at "the Bay" 5 minutes away.
Approx driving times from the cottage:
15-20 minutes to great golf at the Links of Crowbush Cove. (There are other courses within 30-60 minutes and all across the Island).
Basin Head, Red Point, Montague, Georgetown, Cardigan and Souris are all within a 30 minute drive.
40-45 minute drive to Charlottetown-the Capital of PEI. There you can enjoy world class live theater, great dining, shopping, & so much more.
If a visit to the land of Anne of Green Gables & Cavendish is on your to do list, it is approx a 75 -min drive (depending on traffic).
Greenwich is a great area for all age groups that love to enjoy the natural beauty and activities of this peaceful area. It is a wonderful area for coupes looking for a quiet getaway & for families looking to enjoy a fun & relaxing vacation.

How to get there
A common way to come to PEI via New Brunswick is to take the Confederation Bridge and drive over the Northumberland Strait. The drive across the bridge takes about 10-12 minutes. (You pay when you leave PEI - not on the way to PEI).
1. When you come off the Confederation Bridge you will be in the town of Borden- Carleton and you will pick up the Trans Canada Highway there. Follow the signs to Charlottetown and then to St. Peter's Bay/Greenwich.
There are a couple of options to reach the St. Peter's Highway which you take to travel East to Greenwich. ( I will explain more after booking). You stay on this road until you reach a stop sign in St. Peter's Bay (you will be facing the visitor information center). Turn left at the small causeway/bridge. Stay to the left and go up the small hill. Take your first left onto the Greenwich Rd (313) and you will see the large white Roman Catholic church on the right. Continue on the Greenwich Rd approx 5 km then turn right at the lane for Greenwich Moonlight Bay Cottage & also Lin's Take Out.Our civic number is 961. Proceed up the lane and turn onto the first clay lane to the cottage (white with yellow shutters). A white century farm home will be on the left of our cottage and a field will be in front of us.
2. If you come from Nova Scotia you can come via the Confederation Bridge or you might decide to "take the ferry"! Northumberland Ferries cross from NS to PEI several months of the year. Once on PEI you arrive in Wood Islands which is in Eastern PEI and it is an easy and pretty drive to Greenwich. If you decide to come via ferry we will give you detailed directions depending on which route you would like to take to get here from the ferrry...the longer coastal route or more direct route.
3. If you are flying to PEI you will fly into the Charlottetown airport. It is easy to get to the St. Peter's Highway from there and then you follow the directions in #1 above, It is an easy 40-45 min drive to the cottage.
