House Rental
Beautiful, 1925 Sunbeam Sears house settled quietly in the middle of Catskills Forest Preserve on 1.5 usable acres with private access to West Kill and 360 mountain views.
There are three queen size bedrooms and a large updated bathroom with an Italian style shower located on the upper level.
Downstairs has a large living room with cast iron wood stove, leather sectional sofa, dining room that can sit 6 and fully equipped kitchen with a vintage farmhouse sink, commercial size oven, dishwasher and a large fridge.
The front porch is screened and makes a perfect spot for evening hangouts and additional summer bedroom. Listen to old vinyls, and feel the mountain breeze coming through the windows.

A wonderful getaway
I completely agree with previous reviews great place to unwind for the weekend with friends. The day out experience was really nice. (Hiking, water rafting & visting the lil small towns near by. Fire place, while watching shooting stars was simply amazing. Hospitality by Kashka was excellent.. Other facilities are well maintained. Great experience and can't wait to go again..

Wonderful Escape
This beautiful home is amazing. We were truly lucky to find this gem of a place. Tranquil and relaxing, could not recommend this place more. The owner is very nice and goes out of her way to make the stay memorable. The Kaaterskill Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls are not to far from the house. I recommend taking the hike to see them, it's breath taking!! This is a 3 bedroom House but, there's an additional bed which was super convenient.

a lovely stay
I had a great time! The house is roomy, clean and i loved cooking on the commercial stove. Yes, the shower feels as good as it looks. I had easy access to hiking and tubing. It was relaxing country living during my stay!

Awesome getaway!
I came here with a group of friends for a getaway weekend, and it was awesome! The house is big and comfortable. Huge backyard where you can relax and nearby is a little river where you can walk to.
The owners of the house are super friendly and always tried to make you feel comfortable.
Definitely would recommend this to others and I would sure be coming back.

Sensational!!
We stayed at this house for a weekend, and it was perfect!!! The house is beautiful, both inside and out! Huge yard space, surrounding the property, on both sides, and an amazingly beautiful creek on the other side...we spent every day hiking (the property is right in the middle of the Catskills, so you're just a drive away from all the mountain trails and waterfalls)...we did Kaaterskill Falls and Bridal Veil Falls, as well as Huckleberry Point...and tubing on the Esopus Creek is also nearby, we had a fun time doing that!!
But the house itself is beautiful...we stayed every night talking, next to the fire, eating s'mores, drinking wine, and watching shooting stars...we didn't want to leave!!!
The house is perfect for 3 or 4 couples, and it's very clean and orderly...it also has a huge kitchen!!
I couldn't recommend it more, please do skip the hotels and come to this house...plus, the owners were so accommodating!!
I can't wait to come back for Fall to see the foliage, and for winter to ski in Hunter mountain and Windham (both just a few minutes' drive away)!! I'm definitely coming back!!

Prime getaway
I have stayed at the Sunbeam several times - all four seasons in fact! Each time it was memorable and so restful.
Although simple, it's one of the most spacious and beautifully designed houses I've ever rented. The whole area is truly stunning, with the river only steps away; tons of biking and hiking, and the picturesque Pheonicia, Woodstock, Hunter, Tannersville and Windham short drive away.
The owners are generous and kind people, just perfect hosts. Cannot recommend this place enough: should be doctor's orders for all city folks!!

Great weekend getaway
Perfect house to get away from the city. The location is very convenient. The house is clean and the owner is very friendly.

Transportation.
It's necessary having your own car to get here and freely move around. It takes up to 3hrs. to here from NYC. NY Thruway north to exit 19, take Rt. 28 towards Pine Hill, about 40 miles. In Shandaken take a right turn into Rt. 42. About 4 miles in you'll arrive in Echo Valley. The house is on the left side - 35 Chamberlin Road.
