Holiday Rental House -

Bakersville, North Carolina
We do not discriminate for ANY reason.

Private & quiet, located at 3800 ft in a cove surrounded by hundreds of acres of conservancy land and the Pisgah National Forest. It's cool here when it's roasting in the Piedmont. Appalachian Trail and Blue Ridge Parkway nearby, trout fishing, beautiful views. Nearby rafting that's suitable for even little kids (or my 86 year old dad).

Tastefully appointed with a queen bed, La-Z-Boy pullout w/ deluxe air mattress in the living room.

There is a majestic view of the mountains. We have apple trees, blueberries, a pond with ducks, three Nigerian Dwarf goats, and two creeks. Listen to song birds & owls, look for wild turkey and deer, pet the goats, feed the ducks, sit by a creek & read, etc.

The Guesthouse is fully equipped and well appointed, all the way down to the corkscre...

7 miles from Bakersville as the road dead ends is this charming little cabin. It overlooks a little pond, mountains in the distance and is nestled between two cascading creeks. The creeks were definitely my favorite as for a little while I thought the noise was the wind blowing due to them competing, echoes, and the increased flow from the...

The Birdhouse Guesthouse is just as we expected. The location is on top of a mountain with views of the surrounding property, pond and mountains. Sunrises and sunsets were amazing. We vacationed with our 2 1/2 year old daughter who delighted in seeing "her mountains and her goats". The owners are friendly and very helpful with suggestions on recreation, restaurants,...

Reviewed 26 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

My wife and I stayed in the guesthouse for three nights in mid October. The guesthouse is remote high in the mountains. The view from all angles is breathtaking. We brought our large dog and he loved running around the property off leash. The cabin is modern, spacious, and had everything we needed. We bought meat and veggies from a...

About the neighbourhood
We live at the end of the road surrounded by the Pisgah Natl Forest, My house is in the front of my property out of view, the guest houses are in the rear with commanding views of the mountains. My 60 acres are a gorgeous, private, quiet, forested land and pastoral land with several creeks and a pond with ducks. Pets are allowed to roam free and swim in the pond. There is no light pollution, so the stars at night are brilliant. You'll see and hear owls, fox, wild turkeys, deer, hawks and the occasional bear.
People come here for many reasons: to see the sights, hike, bike or really, just not do anything.
The Blue Ridge Parkway and The Appalachian Trail are 20 miles away, the drives are beautiful windy mountain roads. This area is known for it's world class artists
