Once the holiday festivities are over, the area becomes a ski town. Known as the Ski Capitol of the South, winter sports enthusiasts flock to the area for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing at the area's larger resorts, Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain which are both located only a few miles away! Spring and summer in Banner Elk is the perfect time to get out of the city heat. Enjoy a relaxing drive, hike, or picnic on the Blue Ridge Parkway, or take a trip to Grandfather Mountain. For outdoor enthusiasts, Banner Elk is home to many rafting and fishing outfitters, hiking and biking trails, and distinct golf courses. Wildcat Lake is also open to the public, and offers swimming, canoeing, and much more! Come see what the beautiful mountains of North Carolina have to offer! Sleeping Accommodations: Both bedrooms have a king size bed with a Queen size sleeper sofa in living room. Will sleep total of 6 people! Pet fee $25 per dog per night, 2 dogs max. Looking to stay longer during a quieter time of year? Stays of 5 or 6 nights outside of summer, fall, and holiday dates automatically receive 10% off posted rates! - When staying at Banner View, guests will enjoy access to the Eagles Nest River Club amenities. Amenities available to you include: - Community firepit next to the river (firewood ordered would be delivered to the home, *not* the River Club. There is no firepit at the home) - Homeowners have one exterior camera pointing at the driveway which is not activated during rental periods. No cameras monitor the inside or other exterior parts of the home. - 2,000 feet of private, pristine headwaters of the Elk River for catch & release fishing of trophy trout - Stocked fishing ponds for catch & release fishing - Use of the outside ping pong table CANCELLATION POLICY: Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 59 days of the arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
