Wow!! I chose this rental for my 50th birthday getaway & how happy were every last one of us!! It comfortably slept 8 adults, had enough towels & extra blankets (I get cold @ night) for us to be comfortable. It’s a beautiful, custom home with pretty landscaping & the view was really nice too. There was really nothing that we needed for our stay in this home other than food to cook & spices, but you will need some extra toilet paper if you’re coming for a long stay. We stayed 5.5 days. The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of pots, pans, utensils, storage containers, plenty of glasses & an assortment of wine glasses, a wine opener in one of the drawers, there were even tall ‘Tervis tumbler’ cups with tops for taking coffee to go. There’s only a regular coffee pot, no Keurig. Beautiful, KitchenAid appliances. The decor is just as you see it. There’s a full size washer & dryer with supplied ‘All’ detergent pods sitting on top of the washer. There’s also a large box of Oxi Clean on top of the washer, too. There’s a small container if dish washing liquid, + dish towels & rags, lol. The kitchen cooktop is gas. They also supplied 13 gallon trash bags, but we brought a few 39 gallon bags with us to throw all of the trash in. You actually have to take your trash down the mountain to the dumpster, which wasn’t an issue. We certainly treated this place as our own home & we felt so @ home there!! There’s 2 master bedrooms w the largest being on the 1st floor with that beautiful glass shower & large, clean soaking tub. The entire place was pretty spotless. There was a couple of crumbs in the fridge, but nothing is perfect. And that certainly didn’t take away from the rating. There’s an iron & ironing board that wasn’t given much thought because they were both raggedy, BUT that didn’t take away from the rating either. There’s also a Graco ‘Pack & Play’ in a box. There living room furniture was very comfortable. There’s a covered, screen porch with a gas fire pit - beautiful setting. There’s a gas grill on the elevated deck & an outdoor table that sits 6 people. We didn’t sit out too much because of rain, but we just enjoyed the inside so much. Morning views of the mountains were awesome!! There’s a entryway closet full of board games, too. From there you go downstairs & there’s a game room w a pool table, a wet bar w a small wine refrigerator. Then you wall into the room w the bunk beds... This is a cool layout because there are 3 twin bunk beds & a queen size bed on the bottom. There’s a full bathroom, but the sink is oddly placed - it’s the bedroom. It’s still all super nice & cute though. Then you’ll enter the 2nd master with beautiful bathroom w dual sinks & large, glass enclosed shower. There’s also dual thermostats. This place is pretty high up a mountain in a mountain neighborhood called ‘Laurel Ridge’. No 4 wheel drive needed & the road up the mountain is paved. Easily accessible, but maybe not so much in snowy conditions. The road up the mountain to the house is pitch black @ night. We didn’t arrive until about 8:30pm. It’s also perfectly secluded!! But still not hard to find. Our iPhone gps took us right to it. This was our 7th mountain stay in mountain house, cabin or apartment rental AND this was the only time we’ve ever seen any wildlife. We saw wild turkeys, TWO bears & a deer. These were nowhere near the house, but we saw these driving up & down the mountain. The grocery store isn’t too far @ all & it’s a pleasant drive to Asheville which was close enough. The only thing I would add to this rental home would be a Keurig brewer, a full length mirror, tissue boxes in the bathrooms, a much better iron & ironing board, an additional trashcan in the 1st master bathroom (there was one in the water closet, but one was needed in the other part of the bathroom). Also what would be really nice would be a round, makeup mirror on the 2 master bathroom walls. That’s needed for close makeup application. Otherwise, WE LOVED THIS HOME!!!! Awesome stay!!!!! 😊 Thanks so much for sharing!! My ‘Quarantine 50th Birthday’ was amazing!!
