Great house
Great vacation beach home! Plenty of space with super game room, pool and hot tub.
Was a short walk to the beach and our weather was wonderful.

A great family vacation
The house was easy to find and check-in couldn't have been simpler. When we arrived the house was clean and everything was easy to find. The beach was a short 5 minute walk away. The pool was nice and the hot tub was great. The kitchen was open to the entire upstairs living area which was very nice. Overall, a very nice house in a great location and neighborhood. We would use this property again.

Had fun but won't be back
This was our first experience visiting the outer banks. I really perfer more to do. Our group consisted of my family, my two sisters and their families, my parents and my Aunt. The house was nice but a little to far from the ocean for us. We would have liked to of been able to see the ocean from our house and I really don't like staying so far away from the ocean. The walk with all your stuff that you take to the ocean is a pain. My parents only went down to the ocean once because the walk was to much for them. As far as the house itself, it was equiped very nicely, clean, although if you have older individuals that have a problem with climbing steps this house is not for you. The main living area and kitchen is on the third floor and it was a problem for my parents going up and down all day. The outside I have to say was not so nice, we had weeds growing around the pool and for a vacation home that you pay so much for I think it should have been more manicured on the outside. The reality company was fantastic and very helpful in everything we had to deal with them on. We had fun but this place just wasn't for us.

Can do as you please !
Our family had a great time at the home. We were able to go to the beach when we wanted to, go to the pool when we wanted to or just sit around and relax. The location to the beach was great. The home was just as described. It was very comfortable, they made available everything that one would need on a vacation. We loved the fact that they provided beach items and bikes if you had not brought your own. A good price for the amenities & the location.
On the virtual tour of the home however, it looks like the den was a seperate room, going into it we made arrangements of who would sleep where, so the den kind of through us off, when we found it was an open space, we just thought it was a seperate room. Another small concern was the amount of linen provided could have used a little more linen. Because we like to put things back the way they were we did see the vacuum cleaner but no broom and mop which we could have used!! Otherwise, we had a great time and we will be returing and looking forward to staying in the same home!!! Thank You !

Better than expected.
We had never been to the Outer Banks, let alone heard of it, and just had the
most fabulous time. We rented the house with another family and had tons of
room (4 adults and 5 kids). 95 % of our meals were cooked in the well stocked
kitchen. The beach was a 5 minute walk away with beautiful sand, great waves
and lots of sun. This destination is definitely for beach fun!

We made some nice family memories in this great house!!
We had a family reunion and a baby shower at this great house... lots of room for many people...the pool was great and the kitchen was nicely stocked to make big meals...the beach was a very nice beach, didnt like the 5 min. walk to beach and the steps to the beach, but still had a great time...We loved the keyless entry, and the no check in and check out...Would come back to this house again!!!

Rental Company was horrible to work with
"Aweigh from it All" Corolla, NC
This property itself has a great location and features. The service we received from the rental company Outer Banks Blue was less than poor, it was awful. When we arrived at the property we were about 45 minutes early to check in, I called and they told me that there wasn't anything they could do that we would just have to "hang out, outside" until our code worked. When we did get in the first floor toilet was not working. My husband who is not a plumber, looked inside the lid and said it was a simple fix. We called the rental company right away, on Saturday they sent someone out, he said they were going to have to call a plumber. We also told him about a few lightbulbs that were out outside, he didn't have anything with him and had to return later that evening, came back and didn't have enough light bulbs, said that the owner didn't care about the property, he had made a list that was ignored. Sunday - no plumber. I emailed the owner he had someone call me. They did, said we would be first on the list Monday morning....Monday 1:30pm still no plumber, no toilet....emailed the owner again. Finally someone came out fixed the toilet around 5pm Monday night. The first guy never did return to take care of all the light bulbs outside...Wednesday we are out at the pool and we smell something horrible...a septic pipe has burst and is overflowing into the street right in front of the pool...we then had to deal with a pump tank, back hoe and a bunch of men out by the pool for an entire day. I contacted the rental company upon our return about a refund for all our trouble, Bill at the rental company said sorry you are out of luck, we fixed your problems....doesn't matter to them that they were not fixed in a timely manner or that we were not satisfied. I let the owner know, but I warn you if he is still using Outer Banks Blue realty I would NOT RENT!!

As you are aware we responded to every call you made promptly, and fixed each issue you raised, but you were not satisfied.
Yesterday you spoke to our rental manager and hung up on him when he said he was sorry. Your exact words were "no you aren't" and you hung up angrily.
The reality is that we did respond each time you called us. The toilet in question (one of 5 in the property) did need a special fill valve which is not a part that is readily available and could not be installed by your husband. The plumber does not work on Sunday, but he was there on Monday and fixed the issue promptly. We did not think this matter was of grave importance given the fact the property has other bathrooms and the matter was resolved the next day.
The lightbulbs that were burned out were replaced with what we had on our vehicle, and when we returned to the house to complete the job the man we encountered indicated "everything is fine...no need to do anything else."
We deny that the mainteance man ever made comment about the owner not caring about this property or having a list of items that were not rectified. As you know you there are other reviews on here which contradict that and you in fact communicated with the owner in making this reservation and during your stay. It simply isn't true that the owner does not care, but he indeed is well aware of your stay and the issues you mention here.
Regarding the "pump tank" we do apologize that the property next door had their septic tank pumped during your stay, but obviously this was an isolated situation that can not be affected by the homeowner or our company.
We are sorry our attempts to make you happy failed on this, and can only hope that you know that your dissatisfaction with Aweigh from it all is not something others have shared.

We have rented this property before, fine walk to the beach! private pool is the best!
one small suggestion, because it is a pet friendly home, i would suggest to steam clean the carpet prior to each guest, due to some guests having pet allergies.

Great location that needs a little updating
Let me start out by saying that the house is in a great location and we had an amazing time throughout the week.
Positives:
-Great location. Beach is a walk away and just long enough to burn off some of those vacation calories you inevitably gain throughout the week. Restaurants and stores are also close by.
-Beach is not crowded, at least when we went.
-Pool seems extra large compared with those at other houses I have stayed in the OBX.
-Number of bedrooms were plentiful. We didn't use an entire bedroom for the whole week.
-Kitchen was well stocked and the mini fridge was helpful.
-Parking was also plentiful.
Negatives:
-Hot tub seemed to through the breaker every time more than 3 people sat in it. Seems a little ridiculous that a hot tub would malfunction when the water overflows. We called the first time and someone came to fix it the next day.
-One of the burners on the stove seemed to never work.
-Grill was very disappointing. I was expecting something more than the square charcoal grills that they have in parks.
-One person in the house said that their linens were not as clean as they had hoped but that may have been just one set.
-The shower curtain in the 2nd floor master queen suite had a moldy shower curtain. I understand that the liners get worn out over time but the shower curtain should not have mold on it.
-The WiFi was essentially non-existent. No one could use it with any reliability or speed the whole week. We tried resetting the router but to no avail.
It seems that I have a lot of negatives but I wouldn't say the trip was horrible. I think that all of the negatives about the house could be fixed and make the stay a lot better. Overall everyone had a great time and we loved the pet friendliness of the house!
Outer Banks Blue staff were very kind in helping us out with all of our issues. Really like the key-less entry!
