This is the owners second home and expect that the home is respected and treated as if it were the guests home. The main house rules are no smoking except outside on the parking deck, observance of strict safety using the fireplace, keeping pets OFF the furniture, no loud partying or loud activity outside the home or underage drinking. Pet owners must pick up after their pets when walking. We reserve the right to withhold from the security deposit for infractions of the house rules.

We loved this cabin.

Fabulous vista. Cabin was beautiful and stocked with anything you would need for your stay. Area attractions and restaurants were very enjoyable. Elevations and Willie's were our favorites. Great food especially the daily specials at Elevations. Franklin was the perfect quaint mountain setting. We had a wonderful stay.

Truly Heaven on Earth!

We booked this place on our way from Chicago to Auburn, on my way back to vet school for the spring semester. The goal? To check out of reality and relax! Mission: accomplished with this gorgeous home in the middle of nowhere. It's about 20 minutes to the grocery store from the home, and to "downtown" Franklin. We didn't venture out except to get supplies (food/drinks/firewood) in the area, so I can't speak much to their downtown area, but the home itself....perfection. We stayed - my boyfriend, myself, and our two dogs - for a few nights and it was amazing. We arrived at night, which I do not recommend - it's up a mountain and there are no streetlights (not a complaint, that's for sure!) but that can make it a bit difficult to navigate. That said...waking up to that view?! Unbelievable! It was breathtaking. Absolutely stunning!!! The hot tub on the deck was perfect - my only suggestion is to crank the heat when you arrive, as it's turned down (understandably) when no one is staying there. The internet was slow/unreliable, there were some ladybugs that were trying to escape the cold inside the home, but overall? IT COULDN'T BE BEAT. The price was reasonable, the view was outstanding, and our goal of enjoying life was beyond accomplished with this place. The home and its surroundings were absolutely perfect.

Jacquie, so glad you enjoyed our mountain getaway! It truly is heaven with views that never disappoint! Winter is lady bug season in Western North Carolina and the cute little guys try to stay warm the best they can. We called the satellite internet provider to find out that the data allowance had been exceeded by previous guest so the speed was throttled down. We just bumped up the allowance to prevent any future issues. One of the reasons we love the home is that it provides a secluded escape for those in need of it! We do not think you can find a better balance of comfort and wilderness/views anywhere! Thanks for being a great guest! Lorin M. Owner
