Christmas break
Booked from 21st December for a week - it’s our last night here and I really don’t want to go home! I was worried it would be too small seeing the pictures prior, as we took the break with our 2 big Labrador dogs, but it’s lovely! The underfloor heating is amazing (dogs loved it too!) and if anything, slightly too warm (I’m menopausal!!) It had a pretty Christmas tree waiting for us, as was a box of chocs from the owners with a Christmas card - thank you! The kitchen is well equipped - we managed to cook a lovely Christmas dinner - the microwave, oven and hob is nicer to cook with than what I have in our cottage at home! WiFi is excellent. Lots you’re able to watch on the Tv. The king size bed is really comfy. The Spa bath was a real treat and so nice to get in after our long walks. The beach is close - just up across the field and you’re practically there. The field is also really convenient for walking the dogs round for their last evening wee! I went to Tesco when we arrived - so quiet as it was close to Christmas and got everything we needed. I don’t think there is anything negative about our stay. We don’t feel anything needs improving. The barn was spotlessly clean and in the morning, I’ll ensure it’s left how we found it. (I’m always conscious of taking our dogs away with us as they are constantly shedding hair) Thank you for a lovely week away for Christmas - totally relaxing and we’ve very much enjoyed it. Anyone reading this review, please don’t hesitate booking, it really is an amazing place to stay.

Lovely Barn in beautiful location
We had a lovely week staying in Putsborough. The barn is very pretty and surprisingly quite spacious. The only disappointment was the lack of crockery and the patio table and chairs was in poor condition.

Thank you for your review of the Barn, I am glad you liked it and the location so much. New garden furniture is on order but like most things at the moment delivery has been delayed unfortunately. There was a shortage of only a couple of cereal bowls which is now rectified. Hope to see you again :)

Lovely accommodation, great location
The Barn is a homely place to stay, facilities v good, rooms are spacious enough, there is good outdoor space for washing down boards / wetsuits etc. Claire is v helpful both before and during the stay - we had one small problem and it was attended to immediately with no fuss. Area is fantastic - Putsborough beach quiet relative to others, v dog friendly. Walk from the barn to the beach is short, though drop down to the beach through the car park is steep if that's an issue, however car park is v large. The Porthole cafe between Putsborough and Woolacombe is a great coffee stop on a walk, and Miss Feas in Morethoe is v good - need to book.

Lovely week in the sun
Stayed here last summer for a week and had the most fabulous weather. The sun shone down on us all week and putsborough beach was a great place to be watching our kids body boarding and flying their kite. The barn had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the use of the tennis court was a great added extra to the holiday. I just wish it had more of a garden like the cottage next door so we could have more space for the dog to run and play. We will have to book the cottage one year! Perfect location though!

Wonderful characterful barn
We loved staying here over the May Bank Holiday weekend! We only wished we could have stayed longer. We already love Putsborough and the little barn was so beautifully located to just pop over the fields and down to the beach. It had been thoughtfully equipped and decorated/finished to a high standard. So quiet for sleeping at night and peaceful in the enclosed garden in the mornings. It felt incredibly homely and we relaxed straight away! A lovely walk along the lanes brought you to either Georgeham (beautiful Sunday lunch and VERY warm welcome at the Rock Inn) or Croyde. Beautiful walk around Baggy Point to Croyde, and Woolacombe is also within walking distance along the beach. Ate beautiful dressed crab in the sunshine at The Beach House there! An added bonus is that the Barn is dog friendly, and came with us to all the above mentioned places/establishments too.

A Little Slice of Heaven
The location of Putsborough Manor Barn is perfect! Tucked away in a quiet and pretty little hamlet, yet just a short stroll across the field and you're met with wonderful views of Putsborough/Woolacombe beach and direct access to the south west coastal path's. The coastal walk to Baggy Point and round into Croyde was stunning. The barn is well equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday and soaking in the spa bath after long walks was perfect! The garden area is a great little sun trap for most of the day, and we enjoyed eating outside and listening to all the birds, we even heard a Cuckoo one evening. The owners are lovely and there for any help or advise should you need it. Putsborough Manor Barn would definitely somewhere we would book again and highly recommend.

Thank you so much for your lovely review of our Barn, so glad you enjoyed it and I hope to see you again. The sound of the cuckoo had been a real pleasure this year, I also love to hear the owls in the evening calling to each other.

The best place to stay in North Devon
This was our 2nd stay, last time at Putsborough Manor Cottage this time at The Barn. We never normally go to the same places again but this is an exception. We travelled as a couple with a 13 year old daughter. I can’t stress enough how perfect the location is, very pretty village. Importantly you can walk to the beach which in the busy season is a must. You also save on beach parking fees. Putsborough beach is beautiful, sandy and with lots of space. It never gets as busy (we went at Easter and it was very hot) as other beaches. We took our dog as they are allowed all year around. A lot of people had trouble finding a parking space at such s busy period so we were lucky to be able to walk to the beach. The barn has been cleverly renovated and everything we needed was provided. The WiFi signal was excellent, much to our teenagers delight! The beds are really comfortable and everything is decorated tastefully. There are lots of great restaurants and places to eat locally to discover. Thank you for another fantastic stay Claire we hope to try The Garden Cottage one day.

Fantastic pet friendly barn close to the beach!
What a great find for us! Perfect little get away for a beachside break for a couple and our dog! The barn was lovely and clean with everything we needed, we particularly liked the spa bath. The small garden was cute and right next to us was a large field - perfect to exercise the dog and walk across to Putsborough Beach which was so beautiful! We will return one day.

Warm bolthole with world class beach close by
The owners have thought of EVERYTHING in making Manor Barn Cottage warm, welcoming and well-equipped. From underfloor heating to state of the art kitchen appliances and a whirlpool bath! Putsborough Sands, a world class beach and surfers paradise (where dogs are welcome) with its beach cafe and immaculate loos, is a short walk. Wonderful walks over Baggy Point. Georgeham's hostelries a mile away. Easy striking distance of all that North Devon has to offer and more than enough on the doorstep to keep occupied.

Fantastic stay
Wonderful stay in the barn with our two dogs. It is well equipped with a great layout. A 5 minute walk and you are on the beach and coast path. Claire was really helpful with suggestions on places to visit. The next village has two great pubs, plus there is a footpath directly to Croyde. Highly recommend this as a place to stay. Perfect stay in a perfect location.

Getting around
There is a bus to and from Croyde operated by Stagecoach in Barnstaple (more information on their website for routes and times). There are local taxis - information can be provided on request.
