An adventure
We had planed a minibreak away from home, and were delighted with the hospiyality with which Shane, Allen (not to fogrget Shelby) welcomed us. We both slept so well in an extremely comfortable bed, and left well sustained by a lovely breakfast. THank you.

Great decision to stay here
I recently travelled to Ancaster from Michigan with my 90 year old aunt and felt a B&B was the best choice. After finding Serenity Ranch on the web, I called and explained the situation to one of the owners. I immediately relaxed as he understood our need for a comfortable, first floor room with private bath for my aunt. But what a pleasant surprise when we arrived after a long drive. My aunt was greeted with a hug in the parking area and given a helpful arm as she walked in. What a cozy, peaceful retreat. The next morning at a delicious breakfast at the inn, my aunt and I both remarked that we wanted to take the beds and mattresses home with us. So comfortable! We enjoyed coffee on the charming porch as we looked at the lovely gardens. I highly recommend this inn and will definitely visit again. As these owners proved, it's not just the location, decor and food that creates a special environment. Most important is the friendliness and kindness extended by the owners and staff.

One of the best we've been to
We spent one night at Serenity Ranch with our 9mo/old baby, and it was perfect. The room: We stayed at Suite Serenity. Alan and Shane clearly put a LOT of thought into the details, since there was not even a tiny thing you could possibly need in the room that wasn't there. Even with the crib they put up for our baby in our room, the room was very spacious. The list of amenities goes on and on, but there are some details that make the room exceptionally convenient, like the lighting, the power outlets, the toiletries. It's like they went to the best B&Bs, made a list of small annoying things that you find even in the best rooms, and took care of each and every one of them to make sure they offer the most comfortable stay possible.
The location: there is nothing specifically attractive in the location outside of Hamilton, but it is very convenient as it is easily accessible from the GTA. For us it was a great location to embark from to do some hiking and picnicing. There are plenty of natural conservation areas around. There are some restaurants in Ancaster, and Shane was extremely helpful and made us reservations where we wanted.
The ranch: the ranch is so quiet and peaceful, and the garden so beautiful, just sitting on the porch with our morning coffee was as relaxing as it gets. Alan and Shane were the perfect hosts. Made us feel at home from the first moment, had some nice conversation, but also gave us privacy. They were so welcoming to the three of us, so nice and considerate, it definitely helped the relaxing atmosphere. And they made sure our baby was happy!
The breakfast: fresh, made to order, again lots of attention to details, and served in a spacious dining room where each room had its own table. What more can you ask for?

Home away from home!
Shane & Allan and their dog Shelby welcome you into their beautiful home with every amenity one would dream of. We arrived and were offered a tour of the large, well appointed home while we sipped complimentary glasses of wine.
Super comfortable beds, delicious home cooked and made to order breakfasts (included!), along with the spectacular company of the Serenity Ranch hosts make this a place to return to, again & again. There really is not other B&B like it. We will be back!

The absolute best accommodations I have ever experienced.
During my working career, I traveled Canada extensively, plus spent some time in the U.S. I have stayed in all the major hotels, have experienced some awesome bed-and-breakfasts, and have stayed in just about any type of accommodation that is offered. But, I have to say, the Serenity Ranch beats them all by a mile. The attention to detail in each room is unsurpassed - everything from the big items, like fireplaces, TVs, stocked fridges, microwaves, etc, to all the small items, like toothbrushes and toothpaste, enough outlets to plug in all your devices, and each room beautifully decorated in a traditional style. The host, Shane, is all about ensuring your every need is met, and couldn't be more gracious and accommodating. My sister, unfortunately, was ill the whole time we were there, but Shane thoughtfully bought her flowers to cheer her up. Where, in the whole of this country, do you find that kind of attention? Kudos to Shane and all that he has accomplished: an outstanding place to stay, relax, enjoy friends and family, or just to retreat from the world! The Serenity Ranch lives up to its name in every way, Thank you Shane!!
