Very comfortable cottage well equipped proving home from home experience giving a very relaxing stay. Owners extremely welcoming a d helpful which all resulted in a good time.

We couldn't recommend The Old Smithy too highly. It offers excellent, comfortable and relaxing accommodation and a really warm welcome from the owners who couldn't have done more to make our stay more enjoyable. We have stayed in more than 40 cottages over the past years and this was up there with the best. If you're looking for style, convenience...

We hired the cottage for Valentine's weekend and it was perfect. The whole cottage has a cosy and snug feeling even though the rooms are of a good size. From the south...come off the M6 at Junction 15. Take the 3rd exit off the roundabout and turn right at the traffic lights. Carry on (3-4 miles) to the roundabout then turn left.....carry on here for about 5-6 miles till you come to a T junction and turn right (passing The Swan with 2 Necks on the left) Carry on along this road for about 5 miles, passing Bridgemere Garden World on the right. About another mile turn right at the crossroads onto Checkley Lane. The Old Smithy is the 3rd property on the left.
