Cabin Holiday Rental
Agriturismo Il Baciarino is composed of five cassette (cottages) set in 19 acres of an old growth oak and olive grove, just 300m from the village of Vetulonia, overlooking the rolling hills of Maremma and the Tyrrhenian coast in the distance, the Southern and more unspoiled part of Tuscany. It is perfect for a honeymoon or a romantic retreat, a relaxing way to escape the pressures of modern life and enjoy life in harmony with nature. The cottages have been restored keeping the traditional natural stone, chestnut wood and terracotta tiles. IMPORTANT UPDATE: in 2015 we added land to our property that now allows for comfortable access to the cottages - so no more stairs from our private parking area. Each Cabin is situated in its own secluded and spacious location and provides a comfortable double bedroom, en-suite bathroom, self catering kitchen under the wood covered veranda, barbecue grill (not available July + August), sun beds, hammock, dining table and chairs from where you can enjoy the spectacular view of the surrounding hills and Mediterranean sea in the distance. Casetta La Quercia is on one level: a main room with double bed and small table, en suite bathroom and an outdoor kitchen on the shaded patio with dining table and lounge seating. On the lower garden level you find sun beds and a wood fired hot tub (€25/35 for first session, €10 additional) You can experience the joy of living deep in nature with the luxury of a well equipped and carefully furnished space. In the communal building you can find free WIFI, tourist informations and books of the area. In the evening we serve a fresh seafood dinner on request: €30/person for a three-course menu inclduing water, dessert and a bottle of wine (€35 from 2019) We aim to ensure you have a wonderful stay & hope to welcome you to Il Baciarino soon! About the neighbourhood
Tuscany’s wild and undiscovered coastal region (halfway between Pisa, Florence and Rome) The closest town is Castiglione della Pescaia (25km) with famous beaches and a historic town center. We are close to many beautiful medieval towns and other sights: Massa Marittima, Pitigliano, Siena, Montalcino, San Gimignano, the Tyrrhenian Sea with Castiglione della Pescaia, Monte Argentario and Parco della Maremma and world famous abbeys like San Galgano. You can take a walk along the old Roman roads, visit Etruscan archeological sites, have a wine tasting tour, attend our cooking class, explore the nearby beaches, parks, medieval villages or set off on the many hiking trails.
Getting around
We offer train pick up/drop off service from Grosseto (€20/each way) A car is necessary to explore the region since public transport is only once a day.
