FELLCROFT COTTAGE is located in the village of Backbarrow near Newby Bridge in the heart of the Southern Lakes just one mile from Lake Windermere. The cottage allows you to sit back and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, to walk the local fells and country lanes from the door, or to use as a base to explore the range attractions of the Lake District many within less than a 10 minute drive

It is beautifully decorated throughout comfortable and modern with a home from home appeal - ideal for couples families or a group of friends meeting up.

The lounge/diner has two comfortable sofas, log burner, flat screen tv, dvd player and music system as well as a good selection of games, books, dvd's and cd's to ensure there is plenty to keep you occupied should you fancy just “staying put”.

It's just a few minutes walk from the cottage to the Lakeland Motor Museum to browse around its diverse and unique road transport collection of some 30,000 exhibits or simply to enjoy a bite to eat at the riverside Café Ambio. If road transport isn't your cup of tea the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway is a few minutes stroll away where you can sample the delights of their home made food in the station café or take a trip on the steam train to Lakeside where you can visit the Lakes Aquarium, take afternoon tea at the beautiful Lakeside Hotel or hop onto a Windermere Steamer and enjoy a cruise on England's largest lake Windermere.
