Holiday Rental House
Raise Lodge is a lovely Georgian farmhouse situated on a lowland sheep farm that also specialises in training working sheepdogs. It is located just outside Wigton, on the edge of the Lake District. It is just 20 minutes from the Scottish border, an hour from the centre of the Lake District, and is an ideal base for those wanting to explore the plethora of outdoor attractions in the area. The inside decor is typical of farms in the area, with spacious rooms and bathrooms, and lots of natural light from the large windows. Various paintings and felt art by Helen adorn the walls. The front garden is well looked after and is a terrific place to spend a sunny afternoon. In the colder months, the central heating is on 24/7 so guests may decide how warm they want their rooms via the radiators in...Raise Lodge is a lovely Georgian farmhouse situated on a lowland sheep farm that also specialises in training working sheepdogs. Interaction with guests
We are a working farm, so inevitably there will always be at least one of us around to ask for help in case you need it. Otherwise, the farmhouse is your own, and interactions with us will be as frequent or infrequent as you desire.

About the neighbourhood
Westward is a peaceful, tranquil setting ideal for countryside holidays. It is just a stone's throw from the Lake District, making it a great base for any Lakeland holidays (without having to pay the prices of staying in the Lake District proper!). Our farm is just one of many sheep and cattle farms in the area. If you would like to spend time in rural England surrounded by bucolic farm life, then may I recommend staying at our place!
Getting around
We would recommend arriving in a car (or at least cycling from Wigton Station) as there is no public transport and taxis are few and far between, and expensive!
