Couldn't fault the whole experience. So many lovely features, and we so appreciated the Christmas tree and decorations, as well as the crackers on the table... lovely attention to detail which is true of the property in general. Very generous sized accommodation and all the fixtures and fittings are of a high quality. The kitchen is equipped with everything you...

We have stayed in these cottages a few times now. Beautiful countryside all around, some great roads for cycling and lovely walks. You can buy produce from the farm and Natalie provides a lovely welcome pack. There is a great outside space for bbqs and the such. There are plenty of things for the kids to play on.

Reviewed 20 April 2016 for a stay in September 2015

Hayloft cottage was presented in a very clean condition and would say it was very like the photos show. We found the kitchen to be well stocked, the fire alarms are very sensitive though! There is plenty of parking directly in front of the cottage door, we found it to be easy to drive to the local tourist attractions around...

About the neighbourhood
Wigton

With a charter granted in 1262, the traditional Cumbrian market town of Wigton still holds a market each Tuesday in the covered market hall. This lovely town is a popular centre for shopping, pubs and restaurants, as well as for other activities such as theatre, bowls, swimming, tennis and other sports. Wigtonian, The Lord Melvyn Bragg novel, 'A Time to Dance', featured the town of Thurston, which was based on Wigton and the local area. The town is just 18 miles from Penrith and so makes an excellent base from which to explore the cathedral city of Carlisle, the North Lakes and the natural beauty of the West Cumbrian Coast. The epic Roman construction, Hadrian's Wall, is within 25 miles, whilst the Scottish borders and their famous town of Gretna Green are within easy d...
