The location was in a lovely village close to some beautiful walks. The house was spotlessly clean. Everything we need was there to have a fabulous weekend.

We just returned from a weekend break at Derwent House to celebrate my big birthday. Ages ranged from 15 months to 74 years, with everything in between. We had the best weekend ever and I have to say I couldn't have picked a better venue....More

Enjoying and enviable position in the heart of The Peak District National Park, The Derwent offers so many interesting places to explore nearby.

Bamford is a former mill-village and occupies the hillside underneath Bamford Edge and above the River Derwent and is perfectly situated in the heart of The Peak District. There is a lot more to the village than can be seen when just passing through. It has some lovely quiet corners and the Derwent is especially pretty around the millpool just above the mill itself. The impressive wier can be admired from the footbridge below the mill that carries the Public Footpath across to the south bank.
