Overdale Cottage is a beautiful 200 year old former lead miner's cottage in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Set in a stunning location tucked away down a cobbled footpath on the side of Bradford Dale in the picturesque village of Youlgrave.

A superb and very spacious one bedroom cottage, it is full of character with exposed beams and stonework, original gritstone fireplace with woodburning stove and full gas central heating.

The roof terrace and gravelled garden have breathtaking views over Bradford Dale and beyond – the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine or cup of tea after a day spent walking or sightseeing.

The are three pubs in the village selling good quality food and ales. There is also the Youlgrave Village Shop and Tea Rooms, a Post Office/general store and a bakery.

Spent a week in this lovely cottage with magnificent views. Cottage is cosy and compact. Reached by walking down a steep path so not for anyone with mobility issues. Loved the fact that it was off the road and very peaceful. Stunning walks on the doorstep, though book in the cottage is slightly out of date so bought my own...

The cottage was quaint and comfortable, with amazing views. The rooftop garden was an added bonus and was perfect for relaxing, very welcoming neighbours too. Although a steep path /steps down to the River Bradford it was well worth it for the beautiful and peaceful riverside walks with the dogs. The river was crystal clear and the dogs enjoyed running...

Lovely village and great walking direct from the cottage. View down to the river. Beautiful area with plenty of places to visit and fantastic scenery. Extremely helpful owners and lots of information in the cottage,which was very comfortable and well equipped. A great place to stay.
