It can be a two bedroom cabin, with queen size beds, and a sitting area with a pull out couch to comfortably sleep six people. After an amazing day, hiking, fishing, quading, biking, or just reading a book on the 700 square foot deck, you can spend it in front of the wood burning fireplace, or again spend it sitting out on the deck, enjoying the clean mountain air. Kim’s Cabin is located approximately 200 km west of Red Deer, along the David Thompson Highway (or Hwy #11), in the North Nordegg Subdivision. This area is rich with history, and since it is not a tourist destination, it is quiet and beautiful. The area offers exceptional guided tours of the Ghost Town of Nordegg and mining site. Kim’s Cabin is also situated close enough to Banff National Park, and the Colombia Ice Fields, that it would not be hard to drive there and back in a day. Along the David Thompson Highway there are countless number of day hikes, and there is Abraham Lake which is stunning. If you do not want to go far for a hike, just out the side door and up the road a little ways is Coliseum Mountain, an amazing day hike. Features: 2 Bedrooms with queen size beds Loft with a pull out bed in the couch Sleep 6 people 2 baths, on the main floor there is a bathtub All linens and towels provided Front load washer and dryer Fully equipped kitchen Flat panel TV, Blue ray/DVD/CD/VHS player in the loft Complementary DVD's and VHS Fire pit (firewood provided) ¾ Wrap around deck with barbecue Ample off street parking We welcome your dogs to come and stay; However, there is an additional $50.00 fee for this. Rates: Rate: $300.00 per night, for minimum 2 nights Cleaning fee: $130.00 Pet fee: $50.00 (only if you bring a pet) RV Fee: $25.00 (only if you want to hook up an RV) 50% of total cost is due upon signing contract to confirm your stay Remaining 50% of total stay (including the $500.00 damage deposit) is due 30 days prior to arrival. Once we receive your final payment (and the rental contract has been completed) you will receive an access code to Kim’s Cabin no later than 7 days prior to your stay. There is a trip advisor/flip key booking fee. The only way you can avoid that fee is booking directly through us. It should also be noted that we are not in Banff National Park or Jasper National Park. We are approximately a 45 minute drive to the border of Banff National Park; however, about a 2.5 hour drive to the town site of both Jasper and Banff.
