Annual Fishing Trip

A short drive for most folks, Possum Lodge is located in Freeport, Ohio in Harrison County which is 47 minutes west of Wheeling WV, 1 hr west of Pittsburgh, 2 hrs east of Columbus, and 2 hrs south of Cleveland, Ohio. Our rolling hills and beautiful countryside will make you feel like you are five states away from home without the hassle of a long drive. Located on a gravel road which is part of the Buckeye Trail for hikers. You will enjoy 64 acres of pure privacy and nature when you stay at Possum Lodge. Nestled between Clendening and Piedmont Lakes. Also near Egypt Valley and Jockey Hollow Wilderness Areas. Near state parks, lakes, ATV Parks, The Wilds, zip line tours, and much more. We have plenty of off road parking.
Getting around
Our cabin is literally 2 minutes by car from the marina at Clendening Lake. If you enjoy boating, fishing, swimming or hiking, you will find our local area to be a delight. Both Clendening and Piedmont Lakes have marinas that rent pontoon boats.
