Lovely, sweet little cottage - excellent
We stayed at the cottage over a long weekend and all I can is that is was lovely. The cottage seemed recently refurbished and had everything you could need for a short break. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need, even some basic rations for a cuppa upon arrival. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and very nicely set out, but only a shower (which for us was good) The front room was very nice, very quaint and there was a piano too which my fiancee spend hours playing on. A nice touch. We liked the fact the cottage was very close to the lovely town of Holt, with some lovely restaurants and pubs. The cottage information involved some recommendations of good restaurants which was a good touch. The cottage was quiet except for Saturday night when there was some activity within the car park of Budgens (which is opposite the cottage) but it was handy for supplies!! Close to the Norfolk Broads, which is well worth a visit (would strongly recommend hiring a boat, so much fun) Overall, a lovely and a great location for a weekend away. Would recommend and would return to if we ever are back in the area.

Lovely cosy place to stay, great location
We had a great wekend here! The cottage is really cosy, well presented, clean and has a romantic feel. It has been decorated to a high standard. It is the perfect size for a romantic weekend for two. The owner is very friendly and helpful. There is an outside area but no garden and the bedroom overlooks a supermarket carpark, but it is quiet and this is made up for by the fact that you are in a central location in the lovely town of Holt. Highly recommended and excellent value!!

Perfect cottage great location!
My husband and I stayed at this gorgeous cottage for a long weekend to celebrate his birthday. It is beautifully decorated, furnished and equipped , we truly couldnt fault it . There is a bench outside that is a great spot for a cup of tea or wine if the weather is kind . I recommended it to my Dad ,as he was looking to go to the area , but unfortunately for him it was fully booked. The area is lovely , very relaxed , but with plenty to see and do , we took our bikes, and cycled for miles one day, which is pretty easy to do as there arnt to many hills of course! There are lots of places to eat and drink within walking distance of the cottage, if you are thinking of booking dont hesitate ! Anne the owner was very easy to deal with too, and obviously cares about her guests having a lovely stay in her pretty cottage .

An exceptional property in an exceptional location
The two-roomed cottage was recently renovated and decorated to a high standard by the owners, also for their own use. Furnishings were appropriate for such a cottage, and it was fully equipped for self-catering. The upstairs bedroom was easily accessible and well-furnished. The toilet and double shower unit were of a high standard. The ambience was "Country Living" providing a feeling of well-being. There is a dedicated car parking space within the quadrangle which is enclosed by other similar cottages. The nearby supermarket provided the whole range of eating rquirements etc. We had no hesitation in re-booking for next year.

holiday in holt
We had a lovely stay, very welcoming had a bottle of wine waiting as the owner knew it was my girlfriends birthday. The cottage was super clean with great facilities, good shower, comfortable bed and even the bonus of having a piano in the living room. Great location in a great town. Ideal getaway from the city. We will stay here again without a doubt.

Just what we were looking for
We were looking for a small comfortable property in the centre of Holt with dedicated parking, preferably off road, and that's what we found. Booking was very straightforward, with a personal touch, and arrival went smoothly. We had everything we needed for the couple of evenings we spent 'at home', but in such a central location we were within easy walking distance of a range of pubs and restaurants, of which we made full use. During the day it wasn't necessary to use the car to reach anything in or near the town, including the Country Park and the Railway (Poppy Line) Station. When you do use the car Holt is within easy reach of the coast and other Norfolk attractions. Don't be put off by the proximity of the supermarket when you arrive. The high courtyard wall provides full privacy, and the gate nearby means you can get to the shops on foot for anything you need in a couple of minutes. We particularly liked the location and the safe parking. We had no particular dislikes, except having to leave. We've already re-booked.

Wonderful comfy cosy cottage
We had a really lovely long weekend at no 8. The cottage was perfect for two, warm, cosy and comfortable. The electric blanket was a big welcome as we had very cold but festive weather! Holt is a super place to shop, browse, eat and drink and the Christmas lights looked even better this year! There was a friendly festive atmosphere everywhere which helped raise the Christmas spirit! We hope to re visit in 2012!
