Pure white 100% cotton linens, non-allergenic pillows and 10.5 tog duvets are provided for warmth and comfort. With a light oak, grey, white and ochre colours and nature inspired decor Pine Cone is a bright and comfortable home. Open plan living/dining/kitchen with french doors onto the front, east facing wood deck, the perfect place for breakfasts in the morning sun. The kitchen is flooded by natural light from two Velux roof windows and is well equipped with a fridge/freezer, microwave, gas oven/4 ring hob/grill, dishwasher, washer/dryer, kettle, toaster and all cook utensils, bake ware and pots provided. There are place settings for 8 people. Main bedroom, with an en-suite shower room, has a Velux roof window allowing you to view the stars from the bed. Twin bedded room can be used as two singles or the beds may be pushed together to make a double. There is a sofa bed in the living room for another two persons. 110 cm/44' 4K HD TV with FreeSat satellite channels. Bluetooth ceiling speakers. Wood burner style electric heater. Free Wifi for customers at The 12 Lost Churches Large wood deck, about 90 m2, that wraps around the front, side and back. Screened on 3 sides by high mature hedges the rear deck is very secluded. A fire pit on the rear deck can be used for small log fires and barbecues. Two comfortable rattan sun loungers with thick cushions. Two sets of teak wood 4 person dining table and chairs allow flexible dining/seating options on both the front and rear decks for 8 people. The rear deck has a shade sail for protection from sun and light showers. The front deck has a sun umbrella should shade be needed. There is parking space for two cars immediately in front of Pine Cone. Pine Cone is sited on a quiet plot, number 81, of Cliff House Holiday Park which is an award winning site with - The 12 Lost Churches restaurant and bar serving freshly prepared foods and real ales, a carvery every Sunday and free Wifi Family room with a TV and two pool tables Cycle hire Shop selling local produce Outside children's play area Steps to Dunwich beach Office to welcome you and provide information and help Outside of office hours site warden you can call should you need help Pitches for touring car and tents, useful if more than 6 of you want to stay Relax on Pine Cone’s wood deck, listen to the sound of waves on the beach below the cliff and watch for wildlife - rabbits, muntjac, squirrels, badgers and many wild birds. We have placed a bird feeder on the pine tree just by the front deck, fill it with wild bird seed and there will be many species of birds to watch a few metres away. Straight from Pine Cone's door there are many footpaths, bridleways, forest tracks and country lanes to use to explore the countryside and several nature reserves nearby. Being relatively flat countryside a cycle is a good way to explore. Boat trips are available on the Blyth River or to sea to view seals on sand banks . Adnam’s Brewery at Southwold offer tours, there are renowned fish and chips at Dunwich Beach and wonderful fruit cream ices at Walberswick’s Parish Lantern cafe – well worth a walk along the beach and through reed beds to get one. The National Trust Dunwich Heath and RSPB Minsmere bird reserve are a few minutes away and both hold activity events throughout the year. They can be walked to along the beautiful unspoilt Dunwich beach. There are several country pubs that offer real ales and meals within walking distance. For the beach bring beach towels and blow up sun bed and/or folding camp chairs (to prevent pebble indentations), wind/sun break, bucket and spade, kite, balls ie stuff to mess around on the beach. You may get to see a seal floating in the waves. Interaction with guests
You will be able to collect your keys at Cliff House Holiday Park's Reception and their friendly staff are available for help and information. Outside of office hours a Site Warden can be contacted for help. Sorry, I am not able to be there to set up Pine Cone for your arrival so there may be protective covers over the garden furniture and a few leaves or pine cones on the deck. I have left a broom and dustpan and brush if you feel the urge to sweep the leaves and twigs off the deck.
